[Eaton 5S 1500] overvoltage shut down?
Hello Charles, I've attached a dump below. There were no long entries on any of the hosts, neither the one running standalone, nor the master/slave combo, which is not too surprising, it was really fast: I saw the light flickering in the room, almost like flash, and all those 3 systems went down. I first heard the "click" of the ports being disabled, heard the systems shut down, and

communication problems with eaton 9130 over usb
Hi! I am not really experienced with UPS devices or UPS control software like NUT but i am enthusiastic and trying to use Eaton-9130 (it has one extra EBM too) as rationally as possible with NUT. I believe in general things are under control and behave, although i have some glitches and i would like to ask for help. I am using Debian v. 7 amd64 and from its packages nut-server and nut-client, v.

PowerOff on Debian, and driver issues
Hi! After some problems doing the automatic shutdown of the UPS on Debian, I have found this Debian bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=293401 Now I fixed it calling always ups-monitor from the halt script despite being halt'ed' or powered off (and relying on the POWERDOWNFLAG be set). Which is the correct aproach or best solution to workarround this bug? And now my

Differences between USB and serial on an MGE Pulsar Evolution 3000
Hi, I've been using NUT for many years to look after the UPS on my home servers. Originally I was using a Compaq R3000 but that was replaced with an MGE Pulsar Evolution 3000 about a couple of years ago because the Compaq one was just too noisy! I'm just setting up a replacement server and would like to connect it using a serial cable as I've found that the USB connection

Differences between newhidups (MGE tables) in 2.0.4 and svn trunk
I was looking at how other drivers deal with outlet collections, and I noticed some differences between newhidups in 2.0.4 (from Debian's 2.0.4-2.3) and the SVN trunk (rev 723) on an Evolution. Full diff is below, but here are the highlights: * MGE HID 0.9 vs 1.0 * outlet.#.switch seems to have moved to the commands outlet.#.load.{on,off} Then I found this in the ChangeLog: * fix

Model list missing my UPS, here is info for inclusion on the list
Hello Niels, thanks a lot for this compatibility submission. This is part of the remaining things at Eaton. I've added an entry to the new Hardware Compatibility List: http://new.networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html BTW, have you tested a shutdown with this unit? Otherwise, you should! thanks again, Arnaud Quette Le samedi 02 octobre 2010 ? 12:42 +0200, Niels Kristian Jensen a ?crit :

Resetting replace battery status on Pulsar 1500
Hi, I have a FreeBSD 9.2 system with NUT 2.6.5 (installed via the ports tree) with an MGE Pulsar 1500 connected. A while ago it complained it needed the battery replaced and it was finally replaced last week, however I can't find out how to reset the flag in NUT. I've looked in upsc, upsrw and upscmd but none seem to have a suitable option. The UPS is connected via RS232 and upsc output

MGE Pulsar Extreme communication problems
Hi, I am trying to talk to an MGE Pulsar Extreme UPS over RS232 with the mge-shut driver but I'm having some problems. NUT-2.0.3 - problems on setting values
Hello, we have a MGE Pulsar Evolution 800 connected to a Fedora Core5 Server using a serial cable. Installed and configured properly are RPM versions of nut-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 nut-client-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 nut-cgi-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 which all work (mostly) fine. The server is connected to outlet.0 and properly shuts down when it's loosing power after around 20 minutes. It also boots up whenever the ups

Question about voltage threshold setting in NUT
Hey Charles, Latest update. Looks like in ups.conf I setup default.input.transfer.low = 84. After I took that line out, restart upsdrvctl, upsmon, and upsd, the command of sudo upsrw -s input.transfer.low=70 -u * -p * ups return OK. Still need to verify if it works by using voltage regulator and will keep you updated. Thank you for your help Regards Shen On Thu, Jun 5, 2014 at 8:54 AM,

upsmon keeps broadcasting on battery / on power (driver is newhidups)
Hi, I try to install the newhidups driver for a MGE Pulsar M2200 connected to a USB port under Linux Red Hat 4 Upd 4. I have compiled and installed the usb driver (make usb && make install-usb). I followed the instructions in /nut-2.0.5/scripts/hotplug-ng/README abour the /etc/udev/rules.d/025_nut-usbups.rules. The ups is recognized by the kernel: Mar 12 14:52:03 serveur1 kernel: usb
