Hello everybody.
I have a question that has stumped me and the usual "apply" tricks
don't seem to work. I run a course where each student's performance
is marked by one or more assessors.
I have a data frame containing students' names, assessors' names and

problems using lqs()

I found a strange behaviour in the lqs function.

managing data and removing lines
Hi,
I am very new to R and I've been trying to work through the R book to gain a
better idea of the code (which is also completely new to me).
Initially I imputed my data from a text file and that seemed to work ok, but
I'm trying to examine linear relationships between gdist and gair, gdist and
gsub, m6dist and m6air, etc.
This didn't work and I think it might have something to do

strange fsync errors
Hi all,
I'm using dovecot since a few months and it works great.
But a few days ago some coworkers mentioned that they got
errormessages in their Mailapp.

aggrete data from combination
Dear R users,
A have a dataframe (matrix) with two collumns (plot, and diameter (d)). I
want all diameters values for different combination of plots.
For example I want all d values for all posible combination, 100C2 (all d
values for plot 1 with all d values in the plot 2.......with all d values
from plot 1 with all d values from plot 100, ...... with all d values from
plot 99 with all d values

a question about a simply figure
I think there is a question in R. I donot know the reason.
This is my data about comulative percentage figure. The result is not right.
The first point (no=1,leiji=26.94350) in the plot figure was showen in a
lower location. Why?

Merging data tables
Hi all,
I am trying to merge several data sets and end up with a long data
format by date & time so I can run correlations and plots. I am using
Deducer as an R GUI but can just use the R console if easier.
The data sets are weather with wind speed, relative humidity and
temperatures by date and minute and bat activity with date, time, label,

(count data) using a regression model. It seems to be able to do a
pretty good job as an explanatory model (i.e. demonstrating

summarizing replicates with multiple treatments
I have a dataframe with several different treatment variables, and
would like to calculate the mean and standard deviation of the
replicates for each day and treatment variable. It seems like it
should be easy, but I've only managed to do it for one treatment at a

Is there simple code for this simple financial time series task?
My code below makes a data frame with columns for
date, time, and price. Time on each date runs from 1
