wxruby 0.2 for osx panther release
A first draft of the wxruby binary release for the macintosh is now
available at:
http://www.nicreations.net/wxruby-0.2-osx-panther.dmg
Install the metapackage (mpkg). You will need to choose a folder for the
sample apps. wxruby.bundle is installed in
/usr/lib/ruby/1.6/powerpc-darwin7.0
A few questions:
1) Should I just leave the samples in a folder instead of making the

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc fails to build libgcc when built with itself
Duncan Sands dixit:
>Can you bootstrap llvm-gcc (configure with --enable-bootstrap)?
Nope, probably because it uses the host C++ compiler instead of the
one built in stage1 during stage2:
/usr/ports/lang/llvm-gcc/w-llvm-gcc4.2-58935-1/llvm-gcc4.2/host-i386-ecce-mirbsd10/prev-gcc/xgcc -B/usr/ports/lang/llvm-gcc/w-llvm-gcc4.2-58935-1/llvm-gcc4.2/host-i386-ecce-mirbsd10/prev-gcc/

Installing Virtualbox on Mac osx with pkg dmg provider
Hello
I can''t manage to install VB on osx via puppet and pkgdmg provider.
puppet client : 2.6.8 on osx snow leopard 10.6.7

The puppet logs say :

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc fails to build libgcc when built with itself
Hello,
I’m trying the following thing:
• build and install llvm with mgcc (system compiler)
• build and install llvm-gcc with mgcc
• build llvm with llvm-gcc
• deinstall llvm(old), install llvm(new)
• build llvm-gcc with llvm-gcc(old)
• deinstall llvm-gcc(old), install llvm-gcc(new)
However, I have the problem that the llvm-gcc(new) does not work: after
it is compiled, it tries to build libgcc2

I hate make
Does anyone else here think that it might be a good idea to shift wxruby
to use rake (http://rubyforge.org/projects/rake/) or perhaps one of the
other "modern" build systems?
One example of a task that would be trivial with rake, but seem to be
really painful with make: Define a tclean target that deletes all the .h
and .cpp files that are built from .t files.
I''m not sure

Mac OS X pkgs up.
So I''ve done some Mac OS X pkgs for the latest Facter and Puppet, as well as
a combined mpkg for them both.
Jeff McCune and I are doing a fair bit of testing on them this week in
preparation for MacWorld, so I wasn''t going to upload them to the official
site for another few days, but they''re looking pretty good.

2.3 issues on Mac (PR#8915)
/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/etc/ppc/Renviron and
/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.3/Resources/etc/i386/Renviron
both use /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current for LaTeX
related variables. Could this be updated for i386 to take into account the
teTeX intel binaries?
Also, Makeconf is not setup to create universal binary libraries. Will this
be done

xendomains and hypervisor splitting
So, let's get started!
One of the first changes we might want to do is move away
/etc/sysconfig/xendomains... We should put it either in /etc/default/xendomains
(since it's an init script configuration) or /etc/xen/xendomains (since it's xen
related)... Which one do you prefer?
As for the way to do it I propose a dpatch file that changes the two files in
the upstream tarball that

interactive menu in scripts

script to work like this:
I run the script from R Console and it offers me some options (press 1 for
something, or press 2 for something else). After pressing 1 or 2, do
corresponding procedure.
I am not able to find out how to do this. I guess the functions menu() or
switch() are the keys, but I didn't manage to use

bug in R-1.5.1 for Mac OS X installer (PR#1825)
Hi,
Thanks for developing an outstanding software for free. I admire all your
effort greatly. I would like to submit a bug report on the R-1.5.1
installer (in .mpkg, .pkg format) for Mac OS X.
I'm using fink in conjunction with Darwin. In my environment, /usr/local is
symbolically linked to /sw which is fink's main directory. This is to
conform the directory structure on my machine

I just installed Xen in Ubuntu Hardy.
DomU is not accessible either from Dom0 or external network.
I used default set up network-bridge/vif-bridge from xend-conf.sxp.
Bridge has got default name eth1 which is my default ethernet interface.
Before creating DomU:
