Scripts for monitoring NUT UPSes with Xymon
Hello everyone. I recently created a set of external scripts for the Xymon Networking Monitor system to monitor and graph AC input voltage, AC output voltage, battery charge %, battery voltage, and UPS Load % of UPSes managed by the Network UPS tools (NUT) suite. The scripts make use of the "upsc" program to poll the upsd daemon and report the information back to the Xymon server for

Looking for volunteers to test nut-scanner against APC USB UPSes
From https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/26 : > Unfortunately I have only this UPS for testing purposes right now. It might makes sense to ask people on the nut mailinglist if they can send the result nut-scanner -qU if they have the same APC UPS. If you have a USB-based APC UPS, could you please send the list the output from "nut-scanner -qU"? You can remove the serial

Questions on NUT driver for Riello UPSes
Hello, I was wondering anyone here could take a look at some issues a NUT user has with the drivers for their devices which seem to report some bogus information at times (numbers out of range, BYPASS/OFF states appearing and disappearing, etc.), or if you could forward the question to some colleagues that can? https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/1895

Three scenarios for simplifying NUT configuration on Linux
Scenario 1: Package-centric Have the .deb package for NUT install a single-user/single-UPS configuration, with the .deb asking for the UPS type and dispatching on that to set up ups.conf for the correct driver. Package installation could even create a nut user and group, so there wouldn't even be a security compromise. I don't know how to do the equivalent with RPM, because RPM

Unfortunately, many cheap ones don't or have implementation flaws (the Sweex 1000 for instance, which calculates the CRC in the wrong way). In fact, there are a fair number of UPSes in the list of
