Nouveau fails to initialize G94GL / Quadro-FX1800 on aarch64 board
Very odd. Perhaps you're trying to run X as non-root and don't have
proper permissions on /dev/dri/card0? It seems like something in
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/nouveau/xf86-video-nouveau/tree/src/nv_driver.c#n400
is failing. Not sure what it would be though. HasKMS is returning
successfully (since no error is printing and you see the interface
version). Will require you to do some

Haswell reintroduces a command to load the scanline window from the

Some Problems with vt on new intel S5000PSL Board (chipset i5000P)
Hi,
I have the job to set up two (identical) servers with xen, so that on each of
these servers runs one or even more hvm-enabled windows guests (2003 Server).
The first thing I noticed was that the complete systeme freezes when the
hypervisor starts dom0, if I use the xen packages, that are officially
available for debian unstable. These packages are based on xen 3.0.2 (testing

Intel video
Hi all
Please someone tell me how can I enable intel video driver on centos 6.3
x86_64?
It's an acer laptop (5736z) with Mobile intel 4 Series graphics.
I tried with Xorg -configure, but give me an error something like number
of created screens not match number of detected screens.
Anyway, I tried to copy xorg.conf.new to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and reboot,
removed nomodeset ... on laptop

centos on intel D945GCLF board
Hi,
I am trying to install centos on the intel D945GCLF board. It's a
mini-ITX board with the atom processor and it uses the Realtek RTL8102EL
LAN chipset. When I disable the on-board LAN card it installs and runs
OK, but when I enable it, I get kernel panic at boot.
The board runs perfectlj with Fedora 9 (with the latest kernel) or with
Ubuntu server.
My question is: is there some way

It's getting close to party time, and so for all of those lucky enough to
be receiving Sandy Bridge stocking fillers this Christmas, Intel would
like to present you with a working driver... But first you have to help us
test it! So without further ado, here is the first release candidate for
2010Q4.

Rejoice! We have found a trick to make 830gm/845g stable at long last.
Ever since the switch to GEM and dynamic video memory, those early
second generation chipsets have been plagued by instability. The lack of
flushing cachelines from the CPU to GMCH was eventually solved by using
an undocmented bit, but 830/845 were still hanging under memory pressure.
These deaths were all due to garbage

Nouveau fails to initialize G94GL / Quadro-FX1800 on aarch64 board
Hi,
I am trying to use a G94GL based card (Quadro FX1800) on an
arm64/aarch64 based board.
As the board is running linux-4.1.8, I had to apply the following
patches to get the kernel module / drm working:
https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/5/15/83
https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2015-July/085449.html
So far everything seems to work, the card modesets correctly, and the
kernel log also

Nouveau fails to initialize G94GL / Quadro-FX1800 on aarch64 board
It's surprising that it's coming up as a platform device and not a pci
device. Perhaps xorg was built without pci support? (Not sure if
that's even possible.)
It should definitely not be coming up as a GPU screen, but as a regular screen.

The last couple of weeks have been fairly retrospective, a dive into
prehistory tidying up the earlier generations which lay languishing as
the core progressed and lead to a number of annoying core bugs being
fixed.
