I noticed that there were quite a few files with version ids of '$FreeBSD$' when I ran mergemaster after an install of 4.8R. This isn't right is it? What are the consequences of installing over your files with unexpanded version ids? I would like to build a release(make release) and want to know if I can continue or if this is going to be a problem for future

I'm going to apply the ssh patch. Applying it to the "real" server seems straightforward enough, but I'm wondering what the right procedure is to apply this patch to my jailed servers.

I am dual-booting windows and linux. I switched over almost entirely to linux. I wanted to render a model I made in 3ds max, so I used mount --bind to use my real C drive as my wine C drive. I just installed 5.1 release and I usually cvsup to stable but I'm not sure there is a stable version yet. should I bother with cvsuping? I have always followed the stable track..
