configuring dhcp-relay / Shorewall
In our LAN a Linux-router connects 2 subnets. On this router dhcrelay is
running.
For several reasons we have to run a firewall on this box. But what is
the right way to configure dhcrelay using Shorewall???
Thanks.

RoR book for beginner
Hi folks,
I see there are two books recommended on the RoR website. As usual I would like
some recommendation from users on this matter.
I am currently a .NET developer and familiar with a few languages outside of
.NET. Which one of these books would be suitable for me to get started with
end-to-end development? Or can someone perhaps recommend a different book they
found useful?
Many thanks,

Contour plot
Hello,
I would like to make a contourplot of the following data;
> x <- 1:10
> y <- 1:10
> z <- 100:110
By doing >contour(x,y,z) I get the following error;
"Error in contour.default(x, y, z) : no proper `z' matrix specified"
How do I fix this??
Kind regards, Datius Blaszijk

Fw: Contour plot
I understand that I need to have a (in this case) square matrix with all the
data. But the question now is;
- can the contourplot not interpolate the missing values
or alternatively
- I have fit a model to the z data (z = 100 + 0.5x + 0.5y). How can I make
from this model a "square" matrix z to make a contour plot?
Kind regards, Darius Blaszijk

Need a working model of smb.conf for a PDC
Having some major troubles with smb and making it a PDC
For 2 weeks now I have been testing, and retesting. At one point I had it
all working except for password changing. Has anyone goten Samba 3.0.4 to
work correctly as a PDC with an smbpasswd back ground (not pam or ldap). If
so could you please send me a working copy of your SMB file (only core
components needed, no need for shares or

Roaming profiles, W2K and Samba PDC.
<expletive deleted> My roaming profiles keep "forgetting" they exist on
my W2K boxen. It doesn't occur server-side, as other W2K clients log in
fine. But, once one of the clients has forgotten about roaming profiles,
it usually takes a re-install to make it remember them... and then, only
temporarily. (Except on one machine that's worked fine from the get-go.)

nt acl support = no

W2K Sp2 in NT4 domain and roaming profiles on samba 2.2.3a
Hello samba-insiders,
we have a WinNT 4.0 SP5 PDC and our samba 2.2.3a is member of the domain.
The roaming profiles of our clients stored on the samba 2.2.3a server.
All seams to be perfect but only clients with W2K SP2 cannot use there
roaming profiles.
---> "Access Denyed" is the W2K errro message.
But if the same user loggs on on a client machine with W2K SP1 all things
are ok.

Antwort: roaming profiles Samba 2.2.3a and W2K SP2
Hi Rene,
I have found this in the "whats new" for Samba 2.2.3
Added/changed parameters.
-------------------------
...
nt acl support
This parameter has been changed to a per-share option, and is very
useful in enabling Windows 2000 SP2 to load/save profiles from a
Samba share.
...
Maybe it helps!
Regards, Thomas

Compilation fails: SSL_TXT_SSLV2 not defined
Hello all,
I'm trying to compile dovecot 2.2.21 on OS-X 10.11.3 and I'm running a
bit of trouble with OpenSSL. I've cloned OpenSSL (OpenSSL
1.1.0-pre4-dev) from github and in openssl/ssl.h SSL_TXT_SSLV2 is not
defined anymore. Compilation fails with:

a couple of questions regarding htb
Dear list,
I want to rate-limit a couple of customers in both up and down
directions.
They get a different speed for traffic staying on our network than for
traffic towards/from the internet,
so that''s a master class and 2 child classes per customer per interface.
I made a test setup with cbq which worked, but wasn''t too reliable I
measured a tolerance of about 30%.

Dovecot 1.0.14 + osx 10.6 and authentication PAM
Howdy,
Today I installed the new version of Apple OSX 10.6. Besides that it
deleted the dovecot user, things went quite smooth. As far as I can tell
it is running as it used to.
However, I can't login to my account. It used to work fine with PAM
taking the username and password from my osx installation. Now it
doesn't allow me to login anymore.
I have read on a website that apple
