similar to: XP Pro will not join domain

I'm trying to get a XP Pro computer to join my Samba 2.2.2 controlled domain. I get an error something can't find the network? With this exact configuration I can add Win2K computers no problem. I have the add user script in my smb.conf file and I have also tried manually adding the computer to /etc/passwd using useradd. Is there something I'm missing for XP? Thanks.

I just bought two new Linksys WRT54G routers. Sveasoft has loaded Linux on this router and included a bunch of Linux tools, one of which is Bandwidth Management. The QoS aspect of this is supposed to be much more granular than the previous solution (Wonder Shaper). My WXPP PC cannot login to the Samba server although the Win2K and W9x PC's can. The XPP system has joined the domain, but when I rebooted the PC and tried logging in via the domain it complained about not having permission or an account which I've verified and have redone several times, but still I cannot login. Just founnd a weirdy. My end is Asterisk 1.2.32 using an IAX2 link to the US. The IP address of the remote end changed (though in the config file it's registered as a name i.e. asterisk.remote.end), my system didn't recognised the IP change, it must be cached once and then the cached value used for ever.
