similar to: Samba auto start under red hat 7.2

I rebuilt an RHL 7.2 and copied my Samba file(s) back over. Samba is running, and when prompted for my username/password by my Windoze machine it will only work with one username/password. Hey Hey Dancers, I have found that all my GPOs from User Configuration are working fine, gpresult shows me all policies loaded, but it shows me, that from Computer Configuration only default domain policy is loaded. Hi all, I know this isnt really the right place to ask but does anyone know why when I install Red Hat 7.2 and pick Samba to be installed it doesnt seem to be (either that or its not set to auto start and I dont know how to load it). I've even upgraded from 6.1 (Samba confirmed working) and the upgrade also turns Samba or disables/uninstalls it. Anyone got any ideas on this? Thanks Ash

Then we have found an error with permissions, on shared discs where is VFS:recycle enabled, new created folders seem to be ok, but new files are writable only from owner. Hi Group, I set up samba3.0 to work as ADS-Member-Server. I created a share called /test and chown group to gg_test to it. Access to share works without any problems. I also can add files and directories to this share. When I now make ln -l, the files I added got the group-permissions "Domain Users" and not gg_test, as I expected. Do someone know a solution? I am still having some troubles getting samba to work. I have installed samba and it seems to be fine from the server point of view. However, my client can see the server in the Network neighborhood, but I get network path not found. The server and the client are on different sub-nets. Both the client and the server are using DNS to resolve names. Both are resolvable. They use FTP between
