win95 machine unable to show linux machine in network neighborhood

windows clients can't see workgroup at all
I'm trying to troubleshoot a new samba setup on a tiny network, and I'm clearly missing something. I'm running Samba 3.0.22 on Ubuntu Linux. When I first set it up, it seemed to go so smoothly. Hi, I have an issue in dos printing. My okidata dot matrix printer is directly connected to linux box and is a shared printer in samba . I am using lprng. My problem is with dos printing. cant rename directories on NT
Everything is working perfect on win95 but from NT4: I can create, delete and rename files I can create and delete directories Problem: I can't rename created directories from the NT4 workstations on the network. Diagnosis Tests - Failed #5
I'm working on the first of a few Samba machines for our network. It's running RedHat 6.2 and Samba 2.0.7. On the NT 4.0 side of things I can see the machine (with the correct name) if I do NET VIEW or look in the Network Neighborhood. However, when I do "NET VIEW \\SambaServer" I get an Error 5 Access Denied. (Test 8) So I started on the diagnosis and got to Item 5. When I
