Hi everyone, I'm running Samba 1.9.18p10 and it works great. But I can't get it to announce to other subnets that are on the other side of a router. I've added "remote announce = 192.168.1.255" to smb.conf (my machine is in 192.168.0.0 subnet) and there are no other NT machines in any of the subnets. What should I look for? Thanks, Joe

Michel, One approach that hasn't been suggested is to block access to the netbios nameservice port on the samba host with a firewalling rule. That way the other computers on the subnet can't register themselves with nmbd. Suppose that your internal network is all within the 192.168.15.0/24 network. Hello We have an Socomec Sicon Netys PR3000 UPS equipped with NetVision Web/SNMP adaptor. I try to monitor the ups using snmp-ups driver and netvision mibs set. The snmp-ups driver starts correctly and connects to the UPS, upsd confirms it, but upsmon constantly shows "No communication" error I think the cause is the SNMP adapter reports the UPS status as "ECO mode"
