I am having a problem with samba on a Sun Ultra running Solaris 2.6. I got the error: -- session request to WWW20 failed session request to *SMBSERVER failed -- This happened after a reboot, samba was running perfect before. Samba is running fine, and the NT station I have started with joined the domain without any issues - except of course that I can't log on to the server. Hi, I have a group of users (Doc Master Index) that is given rwx permission to a subfolder under a share folder (docs) by ACL. If user edits the file in NT the permission remains intact, but if user changes the file in W2K, everyone gets read-only. Would someone give me a couple of pointers please?
