Is there anyway to fix large file support?
I got Large files working fine on Solaris, just make a 64bit binary :). Seriously, I would try making a 64bit binary for HPUX as well(something like +DA2.0W for 64bit PA_RISC). rsync 2.6.2 with Posix socket on HP-UX
Hi, I tried to compile rsync 2.6.2 as a 64-bit application on HP-UX 11.23. $ CC=cc CFLAGS="-Ae +DD64" configure $ make $ make check 'make check' fails with daemon mode tests with the following error message. rsync: socketpair_tcp failed (Address family not supported by protocol family). There seems to be a problem with the mixture of BSD and Posix socket specification.

re: 120 GB larger hard disk
Hi, I donĀ“t think that this is a ext3 Problem, since you have problems partitioning that disk. Perhaps a hdparm -i /dev/hdX could shine some light on this, also a fdisk -l /dev/hdX could be useful. For now - let me guess: <guess> To me, it seems, that the disk is clipped to 32GB, perhaps the mainboard bios can not cope with a disk >32GB - just a thought. Since the manufactorer

Declaration of RuleThickness() in src/main/plotmath.c (PR#7380)
Full_Name: Wolfgang Huber Version: R-2.0.1 OS: HP-UX B.11.23 ia64 Submission from: (NULL) (81.104.215.6) Hi, I hope I am not missing something basic... I am using a somewhat exotic compiler and OS, but if I understand what I am seeing the problem is more general: In src/main/plotmath.c, the following function is defined /* Thickness of rules */ static double RuleThickness() { return

Rsync locking up. HP/UX 11.0
First, thanks for reading this long winded message. I have tried searching everywhere, and reading everything I could possibly find before posting this message... lol I am writing Disaster Recovery software for the company I work for. I have an HP/UX 11.0 server (N Class) dedicated to doing DR related work. Basically, I sync up a 3rd set of mirrors to our live data, split it off, and use

sata AHCI controllers (real and virtual)
I saw something somewhere about AHCI support requiring kernel 2.6.19 or later. But the current CentOS/RHEL stable kernels are 2.6.18 I'm trying to run CentOS/RHEL in a VirtualBox vm, which by default creates sata virtual disks with an AHCI virtual controller. These virtual machines are quite unstable, and I'm wondering if the AHCI virtual controller is the problem. I do have a real

LDAP and Linux compatibility
Please excuse a wee bit of cross posting here. It seems that the questions list may not be the appropriate place for this as I've found a number of unanswered posts involving this topic. My FreeBSD workstations are setup with pam_ldap to a centralized openldap server for authentication. This works perfectly for native FreeBSD applications. What I'm running into an issue with are Linux

filename paths different in server mode
For some reason rsync-2.6.4 compiled by me on HP-UX 11.23 in 64-bit mode is adding extra path elements when running in server mode. This is a new problem. It did not used to do that with older versions and it does not do that with compilations on other systems. $ rsync -a ewok::cadroot/release/bin/ . $ ls bin Where did that extra directory come from?
