So I used to use the winepulse patch for wine. (Yes I like pulse). But since 1.3.25+ uses mmdevapi for audio, that patch no longer works. That author points to a wine multimedia git, however, after installing that I have no more sound in any wine application, and the winecfg test audio says audio failed. Curious, currently I compiled the wine-pulse patches into wine for my sound (had issues with alsa/wow but pulse works great). He mentions on his page about it being made redundant by a future wine build that will have mmdevapi with OpenAL or something. So, i've kinda been taking a break from WoW. So been purchasing Steam games midweek crazy deals and other things. Most of these games are a tad older. And I've been checking the db on most of them. Hi, I upgraded to wine 1.4rc1 from the official wine PPA for ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (11.10), I am running Ubuntu 12.04 alpha, and mouse support seems broken for Mass Effect (the first one) and Bioshock (the first one too).
