Intalling WINE through source and WINETRICKS
I installed WINE 1.3.15 by compiling the source code for it (because I had to apply a patch to WINE for a game). However, because of the installation through the terminal I now do not get the full WINE folder that appears in Applications>WINE;
At the minute, Applications > WINE > Programs > whateverIHaveInstalled. Before, when I installed via UBUNTU SOFTWARE CENTER, it installed the

EL4 and spamassassin info
greetings,
have been google foo for week or so.
used to be super easy to upgrade spamassassin on CentOS dist.
just grab the tarball and put in right spot and
rpmbuild -tb spamassassin-3.somethingsomething.tar.gz
then rpm or yum install and done
would take just a few minutes.
Yet...

Replacing kernel-headers with custom compiled version (from kernel.org) - safe?
Hello CentOS users,
Currently I have compiled kernel version 4.19.37, which the source is from kernel.org. I compiled the kernel by following
steps:
- get the kernel tarball and unpack it
- install prerequisties as described in https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Custom_Kernel (in addition bc and openssl-devel)
- copy the kernel configuration:
$ cp /boot/config-3.10.0-957.21.3.el7.x86_64

What's the configure specs for the generic Apache install of CentOS x86_64 5.3?
I'm trying to install apache 2.2.x from a tarball.
And it works. But I'm also trying to install modsecure, and I can't get that to work.
It might help to know what CentOS uses to install Apache when doing the ./configure.

wxGrid Question
When operating with a wxGrid is there a way to get a reference to the
TextCtrl field that is created when you start typing in a cell.
Also is there a way to get mouse events to work with a wxGrid, so far I
can''t get any of them to work. I had tried various combo''s of:
@grid.evt_left_down(){ |event|
puts "Left mouse is down"; }
using evt_left_down, evt_left_up,

Hi Bill,
Do we have a list of which PRs have been filed that are considered release blockers?

RPM .spec files in NUT source tree
All,
Arnaud and I were discussing the *.spec files we have in the NUT
source tree, and with the 2.4.0 release of NUT just around the corner,
I would like to make sure we are pointing people in the right
direction for NUT RPMs.
Currently, we have *.spec files for "generic-rpm" (has a few macros
for RedHat 6.x and 7.x), Mandriva (circa NUT 2.0.2), openSUSE, and
RedHat (apparently from

CadStd Access Violation Problem
Hi to all,
My first post...
I just installed the drafting package CadStd under Wine 1.0.1. It loads all right, but any movement of the mouse in the drawing window portion generates an error pop-up "Access violation at address 0000000B". The mouse works all right in the control sections.
I assume some utility file is restricting access to raise the error, but that's a guess. Any

[7.0.0 Release] The final tag is in
Dear testers,
The final version of 7.0.0 has been tagged from the branch at r342370.
It is identical to rc3 modulo release notes and docs changes.
Please build the final binaries and upload to the sftp.
For those following along: this means 7.0.0 is done, but it will take
a few days to get all the tarballs ready and published on the web
page. I will send the announcement once everything is

Samba 3.0.4 on RHEL3
There have been several issues fixes since the 3.0.2 release of Samba. One
of the most important issues is a problem with password changing after
applying the patch described in the Microsoft KB828741 article to Windows
clients.
I want to run Samba 3.0.4 on RHEL3. The version provided by RedHat is
samba-3.0.2-6.3E. I can't find any other RPMs or SRPMs for RHEL3. Any help

new NUT release please!
And you can source build the current version from source on pretty much anything, thus negating any value of distro centric packaging . . .

Unitek iZi UPS 525
Hi everybody,
I've got an Unitek iZi UPS 525 with a serial interface. The supplied cable
looks fairly simple: RX->RX , TX->TX and GND->GND. Using this cable and
Minicom with 2400 8N1 I'm able to issue commands to the UPS using the
"Megatec Protocol" http://www.networkupstools.org/protocols/megatec.html so
I know the UPS is fairly "intelligent" :-) and the

Compiling Samba with ADS Support
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to compile Samba with ADS support but can't seem to find any
list of required libraries. I've read the FAQs and it was helpful, it
listed that I needed MIT or Heimdal Kerberos and Open LDAP. I'm working on
a very secure environment and if it is possible to just put it only the
required files, that would be great.
Thank you,

One more question of possible note.
Hello again all.
I want to thank Karl H. for pointing me to xiph.org/~karl and getting me
some save files winamp likes the first time. That ucler is at an end.
The next ucler involves two rather quick questions:

Nightly tarballs, would you use them?
Greetings,
During the past week, there have been some requests for nightly tarballs to help
making testing new Asterisk code easier. There was some debate as to whether
they would be useful. The reason that they may not be useful is because you can
get equivalent access to new code just by accessing the subversion repository
directly. However, for one reason or another, some people would
