ezstream keeps getting glibc error on song
Hello everyone,
I just setup an mp3 streaming server on an old laptop I had laying
around using icecast and ezstream. The problem I am having is that when
ezstream gets to a certain song in a playlist I get the error "*** glibc
detected *** free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x080576e0 ***". I'm not
sure if it is doing this because of the song number it is or if it is a

In Search of Search!
I am implementing a search on my site and was wondering which will be
the best way to go about it.
We want a full text search and an advance search.
We will have huge amounts of data that we would want to search. - on
multiple tables.
I went through the plugins acts_as_ferret and acts_as_solr.
but ferret seems to have a locking problem at high load and solr needs
a java server.
So what do you

Torchlight: Multiplayer MOD not found ...
Hi,
I installed the Torlight Multiplayer MOD, but Torchlight can't found it. I guess Wine doesn't find the included DLL in the Torchlight folder. With Windows 7 it works well.
The MOD only adds the following files to the Torchlight (Steam) root folder ('/home/gameuser/.local/share/wineprefixes/steam/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/torchlight')
TLAPI: all files of

can''t get rails to connect to mySQL - HELP!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but this is really NOT as easy as the tutorials/books make out.
I''m really struggling at the first hurdle here. And while I''m not a
programmer by design I do know my way around most stuff. And if I can''t
get this to work I suspect more people will have the same issues. There
seems to be too many variables to address.
I have winXP, I have ruby and rails all

[LLVMdev] Thinking about "whacky" backends
Hi Nate,
I've successfully ported one bitcode from Linux to Mac to Windows. All were x86 and the program was text-based, but I'd say my LLVM Wrapper would be worth some effort in the future if I could just get some help. Currently it just wraps StdIO.h with its own functions.
Here's some of what it would take to make portable bitcodes in C or LLVM Assembly:

C++ and Steam question
Today I installed Wine Version: 1.1.36-0ubuntu1 (wine1.2) and steam. I got the flash working on steam and got the IE6 to support it. I also installed winetricks. When I try to play a game called Torchlight i get the following message: Runtime Error! R6034 an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Under wine add/remove programs it says i have C++2005, C++2008

Escaping the AJAX View
I have a login form, in which I use a "form_remote_tag".
I''m redirecting users to this form when they fail authentication as well...
and using the "jumpto" method of capturing they
original URL they requested via request.parameters, and redirecting to this
URL after they authenticate.
Problem is, if I try to do a "redirect_to", this won''t work, as

Help getting Torchlight 2 Beta running (Mac)
Hey everybody, I'm VERY new at using Wine, so forgive me if this is a foolish question! Recently I've been trying to run the Torchlight 2 Beta under Wine? the game itself runs flawlessly, but in order to get it to run past the beta expiration date I have to run another application (I'm not entirely sure what it is, my belief is that it emulates a server of some sort to play on). No

successful ATI card for WINE gaming?
Is there current or semi-current ATI video card that people are having good
luck with for video games through WINE? I'm going to need a new card soon and
we have had a long run of bad luck with the quality of Nvidia cards so I would
like to give ATI a try. I know the driver improvements for Linux have been
slow to arrive, but if anyone has a card they can recommend it would give me a

[PATCH] Fix NAT for domU checksum offload
Below is a fix for the current problem of checksum offload not working
in a NAT''ed network. The cause is the NAT/iptables code incorrectly
modifying the TCP/UDP checksum (for the checksum offload case). The
original code assumes a valid checksum, which is not the case for
checksum offload packets (which has a complimented, partial checksum for
the hardware to use). The fix is to
