I have a Dell Latitude D600 with Windows XPsp2 on the first partition and Ubuntu Feisty (Linux kernel 2.6.20) with Wine 0.9.30 on the second partition, set up to dual-boot. The default is to install to /home/CURRENT_USER/.wine so I'm wondering, as long as the LINUX users are in the same group, can I relocate the .wine dir to say, /home/share/.wine and update the wineconfig? I have successfully installed/ran AudioMulch under Wine. One quib, my MIDI interface is not showing up. My first thought was to install the Windows driver under Wine, but it's the one .exe that wont let me root/Terminal it's permissions. It's usually a class compliant plug/play device. Any suggestions?
