hi, i'm doing my own windows multiboot dvd's using latest ultraiso and isolinux 3.09, and everything was fine till now. now i tried 3.11 and this release doesn't load any windows cd boot sectors while other stuff like memtest works fine. same for isolinux 3.10, both the normal and the debug version. the attachment shows a vmware 5.5 beta window with an error message by isolinux 3.11 debug. the older 3.09 runs fine in both real world and vmware 5.0 as well as 5.5 beta. ______________________________________________________________________ XXL-Speicher, PC-Virenschutz, Spartarife & mehr: Nur im WEB.DE Club! I think the mailling list removes them due to space (and possibly virus) concerns maybe. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I've been using isolinux 3.11 on many multiboot cds and dvds compiled with mkisofs and they are able to boot my windows cd sectors, so it can work, even if something is going wrong in your case.

Why don't you try mkisofs instead just to see? To make it bootable, add the parameters "-b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/boot.cat -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table" to the command line. (Well, there may be some differences there that can change, but, I know that this much works for me.)
I also had trouble mounting cdrom binaries with memdisk and isolinux 3.10 and 3.11. The configuration didn't actually change from v3.09, yet the cdrom binary I used gave an "image checksum error, sorry" and halt. I tried both 3.10 and 3.11 and neither worked. I replaced the isolinux.bin with the 3.09 version and it works again. Below is my mkisofs.exe command line switches. I am basically following instructions from http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/#multimemdisk to build a multiple image bootable cd. If I need to change something here, please let me know. Jeff ../../bin/mkisofs.exe -J -N -v -volid "MultiBoot" -p "Jeff" -b isolinux/i solinux.bin -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -hide isolinux.bin -hide-joliet isolinux.bin -hide boot.catalog -hide-joliet boot.catalog -o ../../ tmp/mycd.iso disk1 _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
