When i try to run any program, soulseek, notepad/clock that came with

Darwine build without freetype
I'm having a bit of trouble implementing the "--without-freetype" option in creating my own Darwine build (notably, so I can bypass the OpenGL problem). How do I implement the option?

How does a noob have to uninstall Wine (on MacOSX)??
Hello, I have tried to install Wine on my mac pro (leopard 10.5.6) but it did'nt work very well. When I wanted to run a windows applications, wine told me that I had to install Freetype 2.0.5 or later. I downloaded it from this website : http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3157. Unfortunately I didn't install freetype properly. As a consequence, when I try to run an

Re: Help compiling an older version of wine on 64 bit Fedora 14
Well, it's got on a bit now, so I don't know if I should start a new thread. Anyway, I applied the patch but still seems to be running into problems. This is what I've done: After downloading version 1.1.0 from sourceforge I saved the following as "winepatch.diff": Code: --- loader/preloader.c | 2 +- 1 files changed, 1 insertions(+), 1 deletions(-) diff --git

Noob problems with Darwine
I've installed darwine 1.1.9 on my mac. I've read all of the tutorials and forums that I could find but I'm still not able to solve my problem. I imagine I must be missing something that's so obvious that it doesn't even make its way into a tutorial. I can't run programs. If I start winehelper and try to run a program (say regedit.exe) I get the errors at the end of

[LLVMdev] Compiling FreeType 2.1.9 with LLVM 1.4
Hi all, I learned of LLVM a couple of days ago: <http://groups.google.co.nz/groups?selm=pan.2004.12.18.11.29.33.33249%40consulting.net.nz> <http://groups.google.co.nz/groups?th=608e6e38e496f09d> (I posted a tail call followup which is missing from the archive) Jestingly, LLVM developers appear intent upon nothing short of world domination. Not only have you done an end run around

R/Sweave/cairo/freetype bug fix.
The problem was first seen with R/Sweave (#c0) then reproduced directly with cairo (#c10) and was eventually traced to freetype. snow leopard, freetype installed but not being found?
Hi, I'm trying to build and use WINE on an OSX Snow Leopard machine. I build WINE yesterday, but didn't realise libfreetype was a problem (unable to find library) until I started ding WINE things. So I downloaded it from freetype.org and built/installed it into /usr/local/lib, but I still get the errors. I decide to rebuild WINE and ran ./configure to find that it couldn't find

Freetype kills Icewind Dale 2 on Fedora 9
The latest Fedora 9 RPM install of Wine (0.9.58-1) will give the following complaint without freetype installed: Code: Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. To enable Wine to use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5. http://www.freetype.org However Icewind Dale 2 still runs fine. But if I install freetype then it won't run at all and

[LLVMdev] Compiling FreeType 2.1.9 with LLVM 1.4
Adam, I recant my previous message. I built FreeType with GCC not LLVMGCC by accident (I shoulda checked!). The thing is, FreeType's makefiles don't respect environment variables. So, I did this: CC=/path/to/llvmgcc CXX=/path/to/llvmg++ configure make and was able to reproduce the problem. Not sure what's up with that but as Misha pointed out, llvmgcc isn't any

wine-20050211 on SuSE 9.2
I am trying to install wine-20050211 on my second system, which runs SuSE 9.2. After much faffing around I finally managed to download and install bison, which allowed ./config to complete. A warning at the end advised me to install xlib-devel or xfree86-devel. Googling around I found the RPM for XFree86-devel for SuSE 9.1 so I downloaded it and started to install it. Unfortunately, a
