Oblivion regression exposed by video description patch
I found a regression in Oblivion that results in flickering shadows.It requires the video driver/description patch in order to see it, otherwise shadows don't work at all.Since the patch itself is probably not causing the issue, should I post a bug report? Question about winecfg/pixel shader for some games
I currently have CNC3, GTA:SA, COD4 working real good in Wine (amazing AppDB pages!!) but what I'm wondering is: For GTA:SA I have to go to winecfg > Graphics > uncheck Allow Pixel Shader to make the game playable. Yet, if I want to run COD4 or CNC3, neither will start without the pixel shader option checked. Instead of having to go into winecfg everytime to change it in between games

Pixel/Vertex shader status
Hi, I'm just hoping someone can tell me what's going on with shaders in wine. I have a couple of games that will run, but the 3D graphics are corrupted. The games are Clive Barker's Jericho, and Tomb Raider Underworld. They both start and the menu screens work, but the 3D graphics are completely wacked out. oblivion gfx problems

Shader error with GMA 950 in The Sims 3
I have an Intel GMA 950 and I installed Sims 3 on vista. It works but crash after 10 min. I reinstalled Sims 3 on Ubuntu 9.04 with playonlinux script. Install works fine but when I start the game, I have this error : " impossible de d?marrer le jeu. L'appareil 0 ne peut pas ex?cuter ce titre. oblivion: Shivering Isles won't run.
Im running Ubuntu 9.04 and the latest version of WINE. I can get the game open, It'll load. I'll choose new game. it'll load. I can watch the intro, but then after the intro, the screen just stays black and I'm not quite sure on how to fix that. any advice?

nv50 microcode/shader format

GTA: San Andreas Running Real Slow
Hi Folks, I got GTA: SA to start (even though the first screen is blank until I hi ENTER), but usually 5 sec. into it, it'll start to run really slow. So slow I can't play the game. I'm running Fedora 8 with a nVidia 8600 GT. I believe I have the manufacturer's drivers installed or lvidia, but I can't tell. I do have WoW working on it just fine, if that helps any. Thanks.

3DMark06 doesn't detect Pixel Shader 2.0
When trying to run 3DMark06, it doesn't detect at least Pixel Shader 2.0, and therefore refuses to run any tests. I've tried with and without UseGLSL = enabled in the registry, and Pixel Shaders are turned on. Team Fortress 2: Hardware must support Pixel Shader 1.1
Hello! I just installed TF2 and Steam through WINE. However, once I started it, it said my hardware must support at least Pixel Shader 1.1 to run the game. I looked up my Gfx card online, and the specs say my card supports Pixel shader 1.4. The requirements on the box say I need a card that supports Direct X 8. Feature request: Shader Emulation for Old Graphics Cards
What I would like to see is maybe some check boxes in winecfg such as "emulate shaders [ ] v 1.1 [ ] v 1.4 [ ] v. 2.0 [ ] v 3.0" Maybe this would be too much work and I don't know what I'm asking. But I think fast emulation is possible using open source. This would allow many modern programs to be run on older hardware and I think it would draw in more people and increase
