wine users - May 2008 - GTA: San Andreas Running Real Slow

Hi Folks,

I got GTA: SA to start (even though the first screen is blank until I hi ENTER),
but usually 5 sec. into it, it'll start to run really slow.  So slow I
can't play the game.  I'm running Fedora 8 with a nVidia 8600 GT.  I
believe I have the manufacturer's drivers installed or lvidia, but I
can't tell.  I do have WoW working on it just fine, if that helps any.

erm, did you try to tweak shaders and other things in the graphics tab in
winecfg?
also, what's your wine version?

Hi,

I'm running version 0.9.58.  I'll try playing with the shaders.  I
assumed it would be fine since WoW works, but I guess not every game is
universal.
