Graphic Stutter in WoW
Good evening all,
I've got a pretty bad graphic stutter that happens every 2 seconds or so. Like the whole game is stopping graphically for a second then returning to normal for another 2 seconds.
I've seen the troubleshooting in the ubuntu forums here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft/Troubleshooting#Glitch%20every%203-5%20sec.
I've added the SET gxApi

Problem with multiboxing WoW
I've been trying to open up multiple instances of WoW under Wine for a while now... I can get two copies open at once without a problem, but I run into issues when I try to open a third.
Some background: I'm running each one from a separate install, not trying to open them all from the same folder. I'm using Wine 1.1.2, and the latest binary nVidia drivers (173.14.12). I've

Re: World of Warcraft - Screen Tearing
I've been having the screen tearing issue as well, for about a week. It's not clear whether the symptoms followed the WoW 3.3.3 update, or an update to wine or the ATI drivers. At times the whole Wow window is broken into rapidly moving colored polygons, at other times there's just some flashing bright lines like tracer fire. Only seems to affect the background window if there is a

WoW - WotLK - install is a hassle :(
Very disappointing on the install so far. The files are on the disk in
some format that is only letting me see two of the 'some number more
than two' files that are there. One of the files I can see is and
Install.exe but it does nothing when double clicked, nothing when I
right click and select 'Open with "Wine Windows Program Loader"'. When I
try to run it from a

StarCraft beta downloader folder dialog issues, how to solve
Well, I found this bug with WINE's folder dialog returning something that the StarCraft beta downloader does not expect. So no matter what folder I chose to save the game in it said "Invalid path chosen! Please choose again."
But I can't report it in a useful manner because the beta downloader should not be legally shared.
But I was able to bypass this bug by modifying the

Distorted Graphics in Games.
Hello everyone. I've installed wine in linux mint. and attempted to play some games. I'm getting some weird results with the graphics. An image can explain in the best, so I took a screenshot.
When I run the just about any game through wine I get these "fractured" graphics (view attached picture). Fonts are illegible and the graphics themselves are very pointy and have weird

Re: No sound in Wine 1.3.37 (tried known solutions already)
I am experiencing what appears to be this same problem. However, I am already running a self-compiled Wine, so that alone cannot be the solution in this case.
I am running 64-bit Debian, tracking testing. I have compiled Wine myself, from git revision b05be807583eca27dc0a4de896ba901bac54088c ("Release 1.4-rc5.").
As with the previous report, winecfg reports that it's using

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,

WoW WOTLK => Patch 3.3.2 kills my fps....
After upgrading to a Club 3D Radeon 5770 overclocked edition i was finally able to get some good fps out of wow... 90 => 110 FPS in Stanglethorn Vale with all the graphics option to their lowest setting possible.
However last night the game installed patch 3.3.0 => 3.3.2....
Afer doing that upgrade the game actually runs at about 60 FPS now if i am lucky....
Mostly when i walk around the
