codeweavers-wine:itcl problem
codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 hung during install (rpm) at
the creation of KDE/Gnome menus; since I don't use either,
I thought, no prob and ran winesetup from Blackbox.
I skipped re-making the links on starting winesetup and
went right for the configuration. which also failed. This
is the message it generated:
Error: Invoking 'wish Main.itcl' in
/opt/wine/bin/winesetuptk

Wine Setup
I am a complete newbie to Wine. I am aware of the wonderful things OTHER
people can get it to do as far as running MS apps, but I have never had
such sucess.
The last attempt to run "winesetup" as root was met with the following:
debian:/home/tilleyrw# whoami
root
debian:/home/tilleyrw# winesetup
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server

wine on suse7.3
I noticed a distribution for 7.2 & 8.0 but not 7.3.
Download and installation of the 7.2 version appears to go fine - until i
give the command wine -v
I do understand there is not a config file with the distribution.
However when i start wine -v
and take the option to setup config it fails twith a message
can't find package Itcl and also says the config file does not exist.

could not exec wineserver
When I try to execute:
wine "sol.exe"
it gives this error:
-----
wine: could not exec wineserver
-----
My system is:
SuSE 7.0 (if I'tm not mistaken: glibc 2.1?)
codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm
itcl-3.1.0-79.i386.rpm
win98 on other partition
I already added /opt/wine/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf; this solved a previous
problem.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

winesetup
Hello!
I have just compiled and installed wine-2001-07-31 (from tar.gzipped
source) and it works fine.
But I cannot find the winesetup programm which makes setup much more
comfortable. I am new to wine; I've used rpm-package on a different system
where winesetup was automatically installed.
Is winesetup not part of wine-2001-07-31? Or do I have it and just did not
install it? Where can

Location of the config-file
I've installed Codeweavers WINE and everything works fine. But then I got
the idea, I would like to have a global config-file so that every user would
have the same configurations (unless they've made a ~/.wine/.config). Then I
configured WINE and typed:
cd /home/penguin/.wine/
cp .config /usr/local/etc
cd /usr/local/etc
mv .config wine.conf
And it doesn't work. What am I supposed

Multiple user application - won't work
Hi.
I've installed the Windows-game, Caesar 3, through WINE. I installed it as
the user pingvin and everything runs just fine. But then if I switch to any
other user and configure WINE to fit them, and then try to run Caesar 3 - it
doesn't work.
I use Codeweavers WINE preview 3, the users config-files is in ~/.wine, my
Wine directory is in /usr/local/wine and I have done the chmod -R

However, I can't seem to get the windows application to run. It

cannot install codeweavers wine
I am trying to install the Codeweavers version of wine (pre-release 2)
and I am having problems. When I try to install (using rpm), I get the
message "installing package codeweavers-wine-20010112-1 needs 7Mb on the
/ filesystem". My / filesystem is not overly large, but I still have
approx 60Mb available on /. Is the error stating that the install
requires 7Mb on /, or it needs 7Mb more

Agent 4.0 and wine
I have been running Agent3.3 uner Linux debian sarge, wine

when tackling large groups like binaries or advocacy.
But the upgrade to V4 did not go well. I went back to 3.3 and managed
to reproduce under reduced conditions:
