I noticed a distribution for 7.2 & 8.0 but not 7.3. Download and installation of the 7.2 version appears to go fine - until i give the command wine -v I do understand there is not a config file with the distribution. However when i start wine -v and take the option to setup config it fails twith a message can't find package Itcl and also says the config file does not exist.

When I try to execute: wine "sol.exe" it gives this error: ----- wine: could not exec wineserver ----- My system is: SuSE 7.0 (if I'tm not mistaken: glibc 2.1?) codeweavers-wine-20010305-1.i386.rpm itcl-3.1.0-79.i386.rpm win98 on other partition I already added /opt/wine/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf; this solved a previous problem. Hello! I have just compiled and installed wine-2001-07-31 (from tar.gzipped source) and it works fine. But I cannot find the winesetup programm which makes setup much more comfortable. I am new to wine; I've used rpm-package on a different system where winesetup was automatically installed. Is winesetup not part of wine-2001-07-31? Or do I have it and just did not install it? But then I got the idea, I would like to have a global config-file so that every user would have the same configurations (unless they've made a ~/.wine/.config). Then I unpacked it as root and then I went into the "/root/wine-20010510"-directory. Then I typed ./tools/wineinstall (or something like that). And then it startet installing.
