Issue #2 /opt/wine/bin/winelauncher has the line prefix=/var/tmp/codeweavers-wine-20010112-root/opt/wine when it should probably say prefix=/opt/wine If i use 'winelauncher <prog>' instead of 'wine <prog>' it seems to work! Only, in my previous wine installations (not codeweavers) 'wine' was the right command, further winelauncher is not in the default path, it's only in '/opt/wine/bin' why does 'wine <prog>' still not work? -- )(( +O-O+ < U > --ooO-\^/--Oo---------------------------------------------- "If you slacken the string too loosely, it will not sound and if you pull it too tight, it will snap." - Siddhartha Gautama - India from c.563 to c.480 bc. Why? what does the error message mean? >Callout is defined in libntdll.so. That library must be in a directory known to the dynamic linker. (/lib, /usr/lib, or named in /etc/ld.so.conf or LD_LIBRARY_PATH). Find libntdll.so and introduce it to the dynamic linker. (find / -type f -name libntdll.so will take some time, but it will find it if it exists, if it doesn't, your install is busted.) If you _will_ run alpha software, could you at least get to know tho OS it runs on just a little bit first? Linux is a really nice OS, and if you get to know it you will get to love it.
