updates to man pages
Attached is a patch to hopefully improve the wording of some of the man pages. I will commit this in the next few days, but I wanted to give the driver authors a chance to comment. One thing that I feel is important is cross-referencing between the man pages. On the off-chance that someone does RTFM, it would be good if we make sure that a user doesn't have to read too far in order to find

There simply is no such functionality, or the driver can not read these values because of nesovmestimoti / oschibki? Maybe a fix? And whether further use of the NUT, so that my UPS shut off my server connected to it?

blazer & megatec drivers
Hi, I've being using nut 2.2.2 (Debian Lenny) via megatec_usb driver for IPPON Back UPS 600. Then I upgraded to nut 2.4.3 (Debian Squeeze) with broken megatec_usb. I moved to blazer_usb, it connected IPPON. [myups] driver = blazer_usb port = /dev/usb/hiddev0 desc = "Local UPS" #from megatec.c: batteries[] = {{ 12.0, 9.0, 16.0, 9.7, 13.7, 0.0 },

[Bug 662435] Re: megatec_usb driver stopped working after upgrade from 8.04 to 10.04
Hi Michael, thanks for your feedback! I'm cc'ing the NUT users list for info. I've also added an entry for your device (Powerwalker Line Interactive VI 1400, using blazer_usb). Can you please send back an upsc output, and at least check for the shutdown behavior, if not already done: http://new.networkupstools.org/user-manual.html#Testing_shutdowns 2010/10/19 MichaelE <662435 at

usb disconnects
Hello, just joined to the list, because i have a problem. :S We have 2 exact same configuration: basic Fujitsu server + Eaton NV1000H ups. OS is Debian Squeeze. According to the driver list, the ups uses the blazer_usb driver. I never tried nut before, so i read some of the docs, and configured it manually. The problem pops up when i try to simulate the power-outage. I just unplug the ups'

Thanks all for the quick responses on the question (always a good sign of this mailing list). (Tim Dawson, Manuel Wolfshant): Regarding root cause of my current problem pointing to a faulty battery, this is not the first time that someone points to it. However I made a simple test with the vendor tools (Windows) and didn't found any issue, as well as they discharged normally (although only

My experience on situations like this is that it is almost always a bad battery.  Once load is removed, the voltage bounced back, and thus you show time/capacity, but it's possible that the sag under load drops you into LB, and causes the shutdown. If the UPS has a battery test, give it a try, or load test the battery external to the UPS if you can - I suspect that the UPS will be fine,

Random data stale error
Hello, after some time monitoring my installation to see how its working, I found that some ramdom times, like one or two days in a week, the driver fails to start and upsmon keeps registering a "data stale" error on Windows' event log. I've set the NUT service to "delayed start" to see if it was a driver conflict on the system start rush, but it keeps doing it

infosec e4
Hi, Sorry for my poor english but it isn?t my native language. I?m testing an infosec E4 with nut-2.6.4-2.3 on Proxmox ve 3.0 (based on debian wheezy). The drivers that match this ups, is blazer_usb. Btw, I have try nut-2.6.5 with unstable repository from wheezy, but it still doesn?t fully work. I can shutdown my computer when battery is low, but unfortunately I can?t shutdown ups. Like said on
