pnorm
Dear R list,
I calculated a two-sided p values according to 2*(1-pnorm(8.104474)), which gives 4.440892e-16. However, it appears to be 5.30E-16 by a colleague and 5.2974E-16 from SAS. I tried to get around with mvtnorm package but it turns out to be using pnorm for univariate case. I should have missed some earlier discussions, but for the moment is there any short answer for a higher

Well... one person's bug ("your threaded program breaks if I fork() the
process") is another person's documented behaviour ("of course it
does, it says 'please do not fork()' right in the manual").

Penalty in queues.conf
It's so you can have agents that are less likely to take calls (e.g. imagine
a sales queue, you'd have the sales people with no penalty, you might have
the receptionists with a penalty of 1 and us propeller heads in technical
support with a penalty of 2).
The technical support people would only be offered a call from the sales
queue if all the sales people and the receptionists were busy.

Agent Penalty
Can anyone shed any light on an issue with agent penalties?
I have 2 queues set up with agents working both queues, but where agent
1 should have a penalty for queue 2 and agent 2 should have a penalty
for queue 1. When a call is sent to either queue, it rings agents with
and without penalties at the same time.
I set up a second system and cannot replicate the issue on the test
system. I

Answer on second ring - need it on first.
After some months of "Make updates", I have just deleted my Zaptel and
Asterisk source directories and done "cvs checkout" 's of asterisk and
zaptel, in order to clean up the trees.
After re-installing, I am finding that when dialling into an X100P, that
Answer is now answering on the second ring, where it always used to
answer on the first before.

Problem with Dutch PSTN-line on X100P
Yo all,
I have a problem with a Dutch (KPN) PSTN-line, connected to an X100P.
The call wil sound OK at first, but after 10-20 minutes, the audio will
start to crackle. Soon after that, this crackle turns into a continuous
noise and the parties won't be able to hear eachother anymore. It also
sometimes happens that the party on the TDM400P hears a very loud,
short-delay echo of themselves,

New feature in app_queue: Give members a penalty time for not answering (help testing)
Hi,
I've uploaded a new patch at
https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=16722which adds a new option
to queues.conf. The new option is
notpresent-penalty, which is an amount of seconds to wait before calling a
agent that doesn't answer, again. This feature is especially nice if you are
using penalties on members of a queue.
I would be very happy if someone could help me test this

agents and music on hold with autoanswer..
My colleague left our company, then I have to manage all our phones
lines and asterisk: please, apologize me because I'm 'absolute
beginner' about voip/asterisk!!
Well... all seems work fine; we have some queues and some agents; the
"music on hold" works fine when the agent press the hold button on
the phone (thomson); the agents have the 'autoanwser' flag

Queue help: Extending RRMEMORY strategy to use penalty
Hi, all. I'm checking in about an issue that has been mentioned here a
few times, but to which I can't seem to find a solution for a very
present need.
The summary is that we'd like to have a queue that rings logged-in
agents in the same order every time, based on penalty, in a way that
continuously escalates the attempts to the next penalty level until all
agents have been tried.

How to get a server listed in the IMAP Test wiki?
Something I can't quite place finger on here. Altogether too much Mafia, in the bulk email business generally, and I know Switzerland borders on Italy ...
This sounds, (albeit vaguely,) altogether too much like the thieves I seem to have fallen amongst lately. Two stolen trucks, three stolen laptops, another one wrecked, three or four stolen cell phones, passwords GPG keys, city hall hookers

Dear Ivan,
REgrets to reply this late...
By "holding a lock", you mean a bug in the process right (I am not a computer science guy, excuse my naivete)?
THanking you,

Asterisk: Agent logs into queue, and there are calls in the queue, but calls don't go to agent.
When an agent logs into a queue using AgentCallBackLogin, he should be ready
to take calls until he logs out right? For some reason the first time a
customer calls the queue, it rings the agent just fine but after the agent
hangs up the phone and the next caller calls the queue, no more calls will
be transferred to the agent. He shows as logged in, but the calls wait in
the queue forever and

Queues and penalties
Hi All
I have been looking at this problem for a few days/weeks now and after some
advice please.
I currently have a customer on 11.25.3 and I am in the process of upgrading
versions and OS (Debian) and all things that involves mysql -> PDO etc
The problem I have is the customer want a simple call distribution like this
Extn 1001, 1002, 1003 to be called on an incoming call - if they

Queue - agent auto-answer
Hi,
Is there any way to have queue member interface answer automatically?
Basically when agentA is called, his phone picks up with no intervention
from his part? (assuming of course he's available and not on the phone, and
not paused).
I already manage this with the Page application (using exten =>
s,n,SIPAddHeader(Alert-Info: Ring Answer)) and Polycom phones. But how do I
do this

Agent penalties and busy status
Hi all,
When implementing a queue using members like this:
[queue]
strategy => rrmemory
member => Agent/1000,1
member => Agent/1001,1
member => Agent/1002,2
member => Agent/1003,2
member => Agent/1004,2
And you call into the queue, agents 1000 and 1001 will ring in an alternating
fashion until one of them answers it. You might have seen my question coming
already, so I
