[1.4/AGI] CHANNEL STATUS never "down & available"?
Hello
I'm using an AGI script in Lua to make a callback through Zaptel.
For this to work, I must wait until the channel is idle, or I get this
kind of error, even after waiting over 10 seconds after the remote end
rings once and hangs up:
==============
channel.c:2863 __ast_request_and_dial: Unable to request channel

H323 outgoing calls
Does asterisk support using an H.323 provider for outgoing calls? From
everything I have found, it looks like it does. However, I have had no
success in getting it to work. I would really appreciate if somebody
could give me a hand. I am using the channel that comes with asterisk.
I have also tried using the channel from inaccessnetoworks but have not
had any more success. My provider

[1.4] Still can't get it to call back
Hello
No matter what I try, Asterisk still fails dialing back through a
callfile built through an AGI script.
The whole thing works fine when the original call that triggers
Asterisk is from an internal extension (Xlite), but it fails when it's
from my cellphone ringing through the FXO/Zaptel port and I want to
wait a few seconds and call back through the FXO/Zaptel.
Could it that even

Hi Anupam,
Haven't heard from you in a long time. Perhaps you want something like this:

Thanks, Pikal and Jim. Yes, it has been a long time Jim. I hope you have
been well.
Pikal, thanks. Your solution may be close to what I want. I did not know
that I was posting in HTML. I just copied the data from Excel and posted in
the email in Gmail. The data is still in Excel, because I have not yet
figured out what is a good way to organize it in R. I am posting it again
below as text. These

CDR changes in 1.4.3?
Hey,
I just found this in ML archives.
I have pretty the same situation - i had very well written CDR
processing engine on asterisk, making use of ResetCDRs, however now
when we're migrating to 1.4, it's a bit pain to deal with extra CDR
records. My engine is built so that MYSQL CDR can be used directly for
reports (imagine - you get whatever report you need immediately). So,
this way i

call file challenge...
Greetings!!
We're getting some strange results using call files.. no matter the
technology, DAHDI, SIP, etc., we get a "Call failed to go through, reason
(3) Remote end Ringing" message when attempting to originate a call from a
call file. Numbers changed to protect the innocent....

Asterisk to CCM Message Waiting Indicator
I am trying to setup Asterisk as the voicemail server for Cisco Call Manager. I have just about everything working except for the message waiting indicator.
I have the following setup in context [ccm] in my extensions.conf file:

Callback through extensions.conf?
Hello
I'd like to configure Asterisk so that...
1. I ring it from my cellphone with CID number displayed, just to
notify Asterisk that I wish to make a call
2. Asterisk waits until I hang up, calls me back, and prompts me for
the number I wish to call
3. Asterisk puts me on hold through Flash(), which is apparently the
equivalent of hitting the R key on European handsets
4. Asterisk calls the

Reposting the data did not help. We do not like to guess, and doing so takes a great deal of time that is likely wasted.
Rows are observations.
Columns are variables.
In Excel, the first row will be variable names and all subsequent rows will be observations.
Income is the first variable. It has seven states: $10, $25, $40, $75, >$75, "No", "Answer"

asterisk-16.8.0
Hi
I've set up a callback script to retry a number if it's busy, but as
I watch the console output asterisk seems to rush 3 or 4 calls at
once before waiting the RetryTime of 20 seconds that I've set.
The script:

Still trying program -> phone call
A while back, I asked about using Asterisk in a medical environment where the task
is to write a program that connects to a phone and sends a message like:
Hello Mrs. Jones. How are you doing today? Press 1 if you're
OK. Press 2 if you need help. Or start talking, and your
message will be passed to a person.
After connecting and sending the sound file, the program would

app_txfax
Hello,
I'm setting up Asterisk to send outgoing faxes over a PRI line. I
installed app_txfax and its prerequisites and astfax to submit email
messages to Asterisk. This all seems to work fine, but I get some
error messages in my logs I don't understand. Whenever I send a fax
it goes through fine, but I get these messages in the logs:

Hi all,
I've got a program that creates a callfile and most if it working great.
However, when a call fails, I'm trying to capture the reason, which I'm told
should be in the ${REASON} channel variable.

Anupa,
I think your best bet with your data would be to tidy it up in Excel, read
it into R using something like the readxl package and then supply some
sample data is the dput() function.
In the case of a large dataset something like dput(head(mydata, 100))
should supply the data we need. Just do dput(mydata) where *mydata* is your
data. Copy the output and paste it here.
