Maximum number of concurrent calls
Hi, I remember reading that Asterisk allows only 100 simultaneous calls. Is that correct? If it is so, how is it possible to have a conference call with more then 100 users? I think I read here that some people managed to have 500 people in a conf room... Or, how do I increase this limit? Is it as easy as changing a value in a config.h? Thanks for your help, Emrah

MeetMe and usernum
hi, I am trying to get the usernum of a user when dialing in to a MeetMe conference. Is there somehow a possibility to save the usernum of a MeetMe participant into a variable? Everything should be done through the DialPlan, no manager and no *cli. Thanks for your help, Emrah

Remote employees using Polycom 501 lose ability to receive incoming calls after few minutes.
Hello, Here is a breakdown of the issue I am experiencing. I have three remote employees, in various states, who have Polycom 501 phones. They are unable to receive incoming calls after a few minutes of the phones being plugged in. They work immediately after being plugged in, but they lose the ability shortly thereafter. They can always make outbound calls, but only to real phone numbers, not

[asterisk-user] MeetMe feature request: bypass pincode
First off, not a dev question, redirecting to -user. On Sun, 19 Jul 2009, Emrah wrote: > Would it be possible to imagine an option that avoids the need of > entering the pin code of a conference room? Unless I'm misunderstanding you, just create the meetme without requiring a pin. See: [core] show application meetme or whatever random order of words makes sense to your version

Cannot leave voicemail, Asterisk/Zaptel/libpi v1.0.9
Hi, I'm running two boxes side by side, identical specs and setup but with differing dialplans. Both are on ast/zap/libpri versions 1.0.9. Both boxes share the same folder for voicemail, exported via NFS from another file server. Everything was working fine for an extended period of time, until just recently when someone rebooted Box A. Now when I dial an extension associated with a SIP

'background' problem
I have a 'day' and a 'night' mode. In the day mode, I play a 'background' message which is interruptable by the pushing of a DTMF key - ie - all is normal. In night mode - I decided to get smarter... I play two backgrounds with a 'sayunixtime' in between and now DTMF does nothing - the menu times out to my 'lets get the operator then'... If I change the

[LLVMdev] Chaining Atoms together
Hi Nick, Thanks for your reply. The usecase here is just trying to construct a valid ELF. The lld linker needs to handle all sorts of code written in assembly as well as 'C'. The usecase is just one example of it. I have also seen similiar code in http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/arch/powerpc/kernel/head_32.S?a=powerpc which has global and local labels. You are right, that the

Play different voice-mail messages based on certain conditions
Hello List, I have few installations out there based on 1.6.1 or above. I'm trying to play different voice mail messages based on certain criteria's. For example, I want during office hours to play (in short): "we are not available to take your call, please leave a message", during off-hours and weekends I would play: "we are closed, our opening hours xx:xx-yy:yy, please

Agents log in afterhours
Hi all, I received a report of a client which stated that two of its agents are ?logging in? to the queues when they actually aren?t there working. They appeared to be logged on all night. They thought they weren?t logging off correctly, but they checked one of them and he was following the procedure. Any ideas of what can be happening? Is there a way to prevent logins to queues afterhours?

A simplistic parental-control setup
I am looking at the simplest (implementation-wise) solution to the following problem (on CentOS 6.2): I have a list of web addresses (like http://www.example.com, https://1.2.3.4/, etc.) that should be "forbidden" to access from a particular host. On access attempt, the browser should be redirected to a local web page (file on the hard disk) with the explanation that those addresses

BoF - Gluster for VM store use case
During Gluster Summit, we discussed gluster volumes as storage for VM images - feedback on the usecase and upcoming features that may benefit this usecase. Some of the points discussed * Need to ensure there are no issues when expanding a gluster volume when sharding is turned on. * Throttling feature for self-heal, rebalance process could be useful for this usecase * Erasure coded volumes with

[LLVMdev] A simple tutorial on generating PTX assembler out of Ada source code using LLVM NVPTX backend
Dear LLVM, FWIW, attached presentation provides a simple jump-start tutorial for newbies to start doing something useful with LLVM, DragonEgg, NVPTX backend and some custom high-level language. Along with short software overview from the user perspective it contains instructions on building components necessary to experiment with NVPTX and an example usecase of generating PTX assembler out of the
