Park buttons on Polycom IP501/601
Is anyone using fixed Park buttons (some of the ones on the left side of the screen) on a Polycom phone? Here's what I mean: - Call is received and parked, by the user pressing an unlit park button (e.g. 701) and the call is parked there. - The call can be picked up at any other extension by pressing the flashing park 701 button. - Once the call has been picked up, the 701 park slot is idle

Polycom IP601 call parking
One more Polycom IP601 question please (sorry for the long intro here to document) ... In order to closely approximate the behavior of the previous telephone system that many of the users are familiar with, I have set up call parking like this: - features.conf [general] section contains: parkext => ** ; What extension to dial to park parkpos => 10-11 ; What

Aastra phones and park/pickup feature
We are installing Aastra phones (480's and 57i's) into a fairly simple asterisk setup. Although call park & pickup work fine using xfer to 700 (to park), dial 701 (to pickup), we are unable to make the park/pickup softkey feature work on the aastra's. Although we've programmed the softkeys per the manuals, they seem to have no effect (just dead). For example, our 57i is

Non automated call parking
>From discussions with the receptionist staff, this is what we need: X number of buttons for parking slots. These buttons should be lit when a call is parked there. When on a call, just pushing an unlit button will park the call. (The do not want to hit hold, transfer, etc.) Hitting Transfer and the button would most likely be OK. To pick up a call, they can push the parking slot button. The

BLF/Call Pickup using SPA942, SPA962, SPA932
Hi all, There are a lot of posts around the web about my question; unfortunately I have not been able to get any of the solutions to work. I'm using Asterisk 1.6.2.8 under CentOS 5.5. I'm trying to get call pickup working for the secretaries that monitor their bosses' phones. The BLF and the speed dial works great on the Linksys phones. Call pickup is the problem. My features.conf

Polycom 500 "Group Call Pickup Feature" and *
If you activate (via sip.cfg) the feature Group Call Pickup, its no surprise that asterisk doesn't know what to do with this feature request. But it is being sent as a SIP SUBSCRIBE request, and I'm wondering if, as asterisk stands, there is a way to take advantage of this feature to emulate the "*8#" normal behavior. If anyone has any input, there is also a call parking

Polycom call parking feature and Asterisk call parking
Hi: I want to make parking calls easier for my hard-working users. Is there a way to make the Polycom call park feature work with Asterisk? In case it just works out of the box, I haven't tried it yet; but the "call park" feature isn't enabled on the Polycom phones by default. -Stephen-

How to park and pickup a call
Hi All, How to park and pickup a call? The scenario of park and pickup described as below. UserA made a call to UserB, and the call ware connected, Then UserB parked (or hold) the call, and told UserC to pickup the call on one line, and then, UserC pressed some keys to pickup the call. Who can tell me what's the Park/Pickup's typical flow in the Asterisk. And how to set the sip.conf,

Polycom call parking feature and Asteriskcallparking
When you use the Park button, on some phones you have to hit "More" to get it. Then when you park it, it calls back and tells you the extension...so you have to hang up then pick up again. Callpark apparently is a valid extension! Bill -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Stephen Bosch

Call park on Linksys 922 and similar phones?
I'm having an issue with call park on my new Linksys 922. It has soft menu keys for doing call transfer (which I always think is a good idea because it's amazing how every phone has a different xfer interface and people always get confused). However, I can't get a good call park working on it. It doesn't respond to the use of "#" for transfer (nor should I want it to,

Call parking issue with Cisco SPA phone
I'm trying to implement call parking with asterisk and Cisco SPA504G phones: features.conf parkext => 700 parkpos => 701-702 context => parkedcalls I defined one of the unused keys to park the calls: Key2: fnc=sd;ext=700 at 10.0.1.103;vid=1;nme=Park I also defined two other keys to pickup/unpark the calls: Key3: fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=701 at 10.0.1.103 Key4: fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=702 at

Parked calls - can't pickup
I have a simple asterisk install (1.4.18), and want to use call parking. I can successfully park a call (I see on the CLI that the call is parked to 701). Everything is pretty default. However, I can't pickup a call from another phone. When I dial 701 from a phone, asterisk can't find that extensions and notifies the person picking up that the extension doesn't exist. (It appears

Hold Pickup
I'm working through my list of features people will expect, and Hold Pickup is at the top at the moment -- has anyone done any work on this? We've had some unpleasant experiences with call parking, and everyone seems to like the Hold Pickup model. If you don't know what I mean by Hold Pickup, it's sort of a reverse transfer; pick up the nearest phone and dial

Call parking on Polycom 500 doesn't transfer, stays on hold
When I try and park a call by transferring to 700, it audibly says to me "701", and then instead of hanging up with me, it puts me on hold. The only way to park the call is to send it blind to 700, but then I wouldn't know which parking spot the call is in! Before I send any .conf files to the list, does anyone recognize this behavior, and have a workaround? Chris Coulthurst

Snom Programmable button Mini Howto and ringstate patch
It's very possible that the Polycom IP600 will work with this. As it is just an implementation of a SIP standard for subscribing to the state of other extensions. As for the feature improvements you might see them from me, but not very likely. It is easier for me to train my customers to hit *8 (I will probably just program a pickup button for them) than it is for me to figure out what I
