slight echo via sip provider
When we make calls out of asterisk to the PSTN via a SIP termination
service provider the called party gets a slight echo of their voice.
Here is the setup; analog phone <> Linksys ata <> asterisk <> sip
provider sonus GSX 9000 <> PSTN <> called party.
The caller on the analog phone connected to the ATA hears no echo at
all.
The called party has a slight

SIP Asterisk Polycom Reinvite
Wondering if anyone has experienced an intermittent one way audio
(called party can not hear) problem in these conditions;
Several IP501 phones local, same subnet.

No NAT anywhere
Polycom IP501 ulaw only, canreinvite=yes

Call termination path is to a sonus GSX operated by the upstream
carrier, ulaw only, canreinvite=no

SIP signal through one IP and media through different IPs
Hi Everyone,
I have a provider who is asking me to send SIP signals through
111.111.111.111 and then media through Media 1: 222.222.22.222 and Media 2:
244.244.244.244. This provider authenticates by IP and I think is using
Sonus gear and hence they have some load balancer or something...
I have always simply done this to work it out:
host=111.111.111.111
peer=type
and everything worked. But

Festival works extension to extension, not on trunk
I recently got Festival performing Text to Speech on my Asterisk system.
It is working great when I call from extension to extension in the
house. But when I dial in on my phone number (which comes in on a sip
registration to a Sonus server), I can not hear any sound. The
asterisk box thinks it is playing the festival sound but I hear
nothing.
Any ideas?

Two zaptel T1 cards: no clock from one
List,
I have a TE410P (T1 mode, all PRI) and a T100P (fxoks, for fxs channel
bank). I cannot seem to get the T100P to send any clock to the
channel bank. I prefer that it use the same clock source as the
TE410P, but it doesn't matter if it's not in sync just as long as it's
there.
The TE410P is configured 3x pri_cpe, 1x pri_net. The three cpe go to

IVR seleCtion
Hello Team,
IVR selection of QUEUEMETRICS
As we know queuemetrics had an IVR selection functionality where it can get the IVR keypress of a caller.
We saw this link http://forum.queuemetrics.com/index.php?action=printpage;topic=503.0
and upon checking, its only determined the Queue, I want to get is the per IVR of a caller.
Can you help me guys regarding this? I want to implement this with

Asterisk Queue Call Transfer
Hi
I've configured the queue on my asterisk box and everything is working fine.
In my queue I've 3 agents logged in the queue. When call comes they are able
to receive the calls without any problem. But some time they are on break
and there extension rings and no one is there to answer the call (we don't
want them to log off from the queue) but we have one normal user in the same

How To Transfer Asterisk Installation to a Different Machine
I am having some hardware problems with the Linux machine where I have
Asterisk installed and want to use a different machine.
Assuming I install Asterisk on machine number 2, is it possible to just move
files over from the old machine to the new machine and the new machine will
behave like the old?
Anyone have a list of the files that would need to be moved? (Obviously the

Queue - Multiple Transfer
Hi all,
I ve setup a queue with 2+ agents for managing our inbound calls from
customer. Using Asterisk 1.2.18 in a CentOS box. Agents login using
AgentCallbackLogin application and I use a BASH AGI to accomplish this
as there are some validations done with MySQL DB. Im aware that transfer
could be done with option 't' in the queue() application and I was able
to successfully transfer

New tutorial: DTMF tone detection
Hello list,
I have prepared a small tutorial today that deals with how to avoid
Asterisk rebuilding DTMF tones when using it to connect industial
appliances that use DTMF. You can find it at:
http://astrecipes.net/index.php?n=248
I know it isn't everybody's piece of cake, but I thought somebody could be
interested as well :)

CDR datasets
Hello list,
I have been working lately on a small CDR parsing utility, and would like
to do some performance testing on it. I am looking for some - possibly
large - real-life Asterisk CDR datasets to run some performance
monitoring. Anybody's got some CDRs that can be shared?
Thanks in advance,

Queuemetrics and Asterisknow
Can I use queuemetrics with asterisknow?
I mean, if I modify the dialplan to use queuemetrics (I still don't
know if it's possible), will I loose my changes when the time comes to
do a conary update of the asterisknow package?
thanks,

Anyone expecialized with call center monitoring and reporting solution
based on asterisk.
A client of us, want to install a call center reporting solution for

Inbound Callcenter with multiple DIDs
I'm curious what asterisk solutions there are out there for inbound call
centers with multiple DIDs. I'm looking for solutions for a setup where
single system may have 1000 DIDs going to it, one for each account. Each
account may not get that many calls.
Solutions that will all reporting on calls coming into different
accounts, call routing for queues based on distribution groups. Like

Outgoing Queues
Anyone thought about something like outgoing queues?
I mean, having same info that has for inbound queues but for outbound calls,
and grouping members there.
For example, before using dial application put an app outqueue that get all
the statics.
Talked time, member status, last call, completed calls, failed calls, reset
statics, and maybe some more. So its possible to get more control and has
