Asterisk Taking CPU resources
Hi, I have a strange problem, after some time my asterisk server starts using more and more CPU resource and after some time it becomes unusable. I need to kill the asterisk process before it renders the whole system unusable. I have a few SIP phones, IAX trunk to other system and voicemail running on that server. Now, how do I troubleshoot, which part of asterisk is causing the load on CPU ?

Queue App - Set monitoring dynamically
I found this property in queue.conf ; Calls may be recorded using Asterisk's monitor resource ; This can be enabled from within the Queue application, starting recording ; when the call is actually picked up; thus, only successful calls are ; recorded, and you are not recording while people are listening to MOH. ; To enable monitoring, simply specify "monitor-format"; it will be

Queues and hangup caller on Agent hangup
Hi List, Just one more question that may sounds stupid to some people but I can't find the solution for now, I have the following dialplan: exten => queue,n,Queue(myqueue) exten => queue,n,NoOp(ENDQUEUE) I don't understand why the NoOp is never triggered, the incoming call is always hangup when the agent hangup... Is this a behaviour we can't get rid off without patching

Queues don't follow dialplan if no members are registered

I have configured several queues as follows in extensions.conf: exten => s,1,Queue(myqueue,rtnC,18) same => n,Background(user_unavail) same => n,WaitExten(10) exten => 1,1,Voicemail(1111 at my-vm,s) This rings the phones in the queue for 18 seconds. SIP Changes???
Hi Everybody Any significant changes to CVS HEAD over the last couple of days. I've got two asterisk boxes - both on public IP but one is dynamic. The one on dynamic IP registers at the other one - that part is fine. Calls going from the one with dynamic to the static one goes fine. Call the other way results now in: Failed to authenticate user "1101"

Vorbis encoding using JavaScript
Hello, First of all, I am a complete newblet to anything dealing with audio (a lot of the vocabulary is still rather mysterious to me). I also don't often program in C so please don't throw too many stones if my workflow is less than ideal. :) I would like to port the vorbis encoder to JavaScript. Instead of porting everything by hand from ground up, which would take who-knows-how-long,

Hello list, when I sent an incoming call first to a queue and after the timeout to a dial-command, while the correspondent's phone rings there is no ringtone for the caller... So it goes like this : 1. dial(SIP/account1,20) 2. queue(myqueue,,,,20) 3. dial(SIP/account2) In step 1 there is a ringtone for the caller. In step 2 there is musiconhold (class default) for the caller. In step 3

Current bristuff error report
Hello, I just noticed an error in the current version of Klaus-Peter Junghanns bristuff package, especially in the HFC module. Everytime I try to unload the HFC module with "modprobe -r" I got a kernel panic and the complete server hangs up so I need to do a hard reset. Regards, Julian Pawlowski

Setting SIP header on agent calls made by a queue
Hello list, I am trying to set a custom SIP header on all calls that are made by the app queue because I want to track a certain state at the SIP level. If I use the following code: exten => s,n,SIPAddHeader(X-Unique-ID: ${UNIQUEID}) exten => s,n,Queue(myQueue) this works fine for the FIRST call made from the queue to an agent; but if that call does not go through, it's not repeated

restart after yum update (6.6)?
Hi, according to this : http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/28144/after-yum-update-is-it-a-good-idea-to-restart-the-server i should reboot my server after updating packages i.e: kernel, glibc, libc. Maybe it's a silly question, but Is it necessary if I don't use graphical environment ? (and don't want to use the latest kernel yet)

Asterisk and Zaptel for 2.6 kernel
We are looking soon at buying a system to deploy asterisk as our company's PBX. We run SuSE here and like it and our asterisk test platform is SuSE 9.0 with the 2.4 kernel. Is anyone running * and the zaptel drivers under SuSE 9.1? With the 2.6 kernel? Is * 64-bit safe (i.e. no 32bit assumptions in the code) so I can run it on an AMD Opteron in 64-bit mode (with whichever kernel is
