Interruptible announcements in queue application
Hello all,
I?ve found another issue with the queue application. Assuming I?ve
configured a queue with a long periodic announcement and have two queue
members assigned. Both queue members are busy at a time, while another
caller is joining the queue. After a while the periodic announcement is
played back to the caller, in that case it takes about 40 seconds to be
played back. If then one of the

queue peridiodic-announce-frequency
Hello group,
I tried a lot to enlarge the frequency (i.e. more announces, low wait
between). according to config, every 30 seconds the announcement should
take place. In fact, the first periodic announce is done after 2
minutes?
What is my fault?
Thank you

Queue trouble
Hi everyone,
I'm in trouble with queue.
There are a little local radio station with one studio and we have to
switch queued callers to the live program. Everything works fine
(counting callers, periodic announcements), but while the announcement
is played for 'firs in line' caller, studio gets a free line out not the
caller.

Problem with Queue periodic announcemnets
I have setup several queues for a customer. Their periodic announcement says
please wait for the next available agent, or press * to leave a voicemail.
This does not work when the message is playing. The message stops, but the
user is left in the queue. Q-exit with * works the rest of the time fine.
Has anyone seen this or know if it shoudl actually work differently?
Regards to all,
Joe

first few seconds of greeting cut-off
When a person calls into the Asterisk voicemail or auto attendant, the first
second or two are cut-off. This happens with custom prompts I have created
(with or without 1 or 2 second delays) and with the default prompts that
come with Asterisk.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I'm running the current CVS. My default menu config is:

I'm have a bit of a problem with temporary greetings.
I'm using 1.6.0.1 with IMAP storage. If I go into comedian mail and

addition, I get

queue static agents
Hi,
I setup a queue (number 4050) with one static agent
(extension 4054).
What I would like is that when someone calls the 4050
queue and there are neither "dynamic" agents logged in
nor is the static agent 4054 "on-line" then the caller
gets out of the queue and falls into another context
(eg. voicemail or anything). Not "on-line" means that

Play announcement only once in a Call Queue after 10 seconds
Hello,
how can I create the following scenario :
I have a Call Queue and I want to play an announcement, but only once
after about 10 seconds.
The current option "|periodic| |-| |announce| |-| |frequency|" keeps on
playing the announcement indefinitely. (it should have an option 'once'
like the option |announce-holdtime|)
Kind regards,
Jonas.

Question regarding custom announcements in queues.conf
Hey List,
Anyone know the correct way to override an announcement on a queue by queue
basis?
My goal is to have one of my queues say "press one to blah.." and no
position announcements I have the jump from queue context working (the
press 1) I just need the correct message played to the user instructing to
press 1.
I have periodic-announce=filename in my queues.conf file under the

[PATCH] Make Queue announcements more consistent (1.4.26.2)
Hi,
After playing around with queues a bunch on 1.4.26.2, I noticed a few things,
which the patch below addresses. It addresses:
- Callers in position 0 will hear periodic/position announcements at a
very different rate than all other callers.
-- Announcements while in position 0 could be delayed up to
"timeout+retry" seconds.
-- This patch reduces that possible delay to only

Queue periodic announce...
Is there a way to play a different message than the periodic announce
after a certain time? I have been asked by a customer to do something
like this:
The user enters the queue.
We play position and periodic announce every 60 seconds.
If user has waited for more than 5 minutes then play a message with
option to leave a voicemail
This means that I would have to be able to play a different

Realtime Queue Members Not Ringing
Hi,
So I'm using Asterisk Realtime Queues and Queue members on 1.4.28.
I've noticed if there are no people in the queue when a call enters,
even after a queue member enters, the call is never rang to him.
From the debug, it seems that Asterisk is only grabbing the queue
member list upon entering the queue. And not again until another call
enters the queue. As a result, a caller will

Realtime Queue Status for Agents
Hello,
I am having a problem which stems from the fact that the Agents that
handle my call queues are unaware if there are are people waiting in the
queue. I have found the following configuration options but they are
not very helpful.
in queues.conf:
announce=xxx
The "announce = XXX" option in queues.conf makes Asterisk play the XXX
announcement to the member of the queue who

How to get asterisk to playback personal greetings using grandstream gxp-2000
All:
I am using the standard voicemail in asterisk. Everything works well,
except, if a users wants to record their own personal greeting, it
doesn't playback.
I can see the soundfile being created. I suspect it is a setting in the
voicemail.conf, or an option I am over-looking on the grandstream, but
if anyone can point me in the write direction, I would certainly
appreciate the help.

Don't enter a queue if no one is logged in

anyone is logged into the queue. So immediately after the greet, we
