TDM400 one way calls
Dear All I have a problem with a TDM400 card with 4 x FXS modules. The card carries extensions only and there are no incoming lines. I can make a call to the extension on this card with no problems. However, when I try and call out I just get a busy signal. I also get an error message (as shown at the bottom). Is this a problem? Configs below: [root at asterisk etc]# more zaptel.conf

What makes TDM400 FXS Connection to TELCO go into Off Hook State?
I've been having trouble with making outbound calls to my TELCO from a TDM400 card (FXS KS signalling) after upgrading from 1.6-beta9 to 1.6.0. The problem is completely intermittent. When it fails, I get this message: [Nov 9 19:12:26] WARNING[18916] app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 0 - Unknown) At some point, it starts working, but I don't know what

Spurious ring burst on TDM400 FXS port
G'day all, A weird problem has just started happening with my * server, and I've googled myself stupid looking for help. My system is latest CVS, a TDM400P with two FXS modules, two X101Ps, and VoIP connections (SIP, SCCP & IAX2). My wife complained about her extension (analogue, on one of the TDM400 ports) being dead -- no dialtone. I had to shut down *, then unload and reload the

WARNING: chan_zap.c process_zap: Ignoring signalling
Hello I've been googling for this message, but can't find why Asterisk sends a warning. The configuration files look similar to http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+config+zapata.conf.sample It's a TDM card with just one FXO module on it, and I connected an RJ11 cable to it from the wall plug: # cat /etc/zaptel.conf fxsks=1 loadzone=fr defaultzone=fr # ztcfg -vv

Problems with Digium TDM400 card

So I downloaded Asterisk again and re-installed. But still problems: Here is my ztcfg output: asterisk:/etc/asterisk # ztcfg -vvvvv Notice: Configuration file is /etc/zaptel.conf line 4: Unable to read Zaptel version information. Zaptel

Hangup detection with TDM400 in UK
When a caller hangs up (e.g. after leaving a voicemail), my British Telecom exchange sends a continuous tone for about 15s and then silence. I can't get asterisk to recognise this tone as a hangup indication. I have tried indications.conf with both country=uk and country=us. My zapata.conf has busydetect=yes, callprogress=yes and I've tried setting busycount from 1 through 7 I am using

asterisk 1.4.10 on linux kernel 2.6 needs timing device for trunking
I understood that a timing device (ztdummy if no zaptel hardware is present) was not necessary anymore with linux kernel 2.6. When I enable iax2 trunking I get this warning chan_iax2.c:8908 build_user: Unable to support trunking on user 'xxxxxx' without zaptel timing The linux kernel is 2.6.22-14-386 Can I ignore this message, and is trunking working despite this warning? Sangoma FXO/FXS config
Hi all, I bought a Sangoma A200 card from an online supplier and explained exactly what I wanted, 3 incoming phone lines to PBX and a life line (some where to connect a standard BT phone to the PBX incase the power goes, making the BT phone ring). I was told to order 1 x FXS module (2 FXS ports) 2 x FXO modules (4 FXO ports) However being a complete noob, I have connected the 3 lines to the

TDM400 w/ FXS S110M pinout on RJ11 connector?
Hi all, I just got my long awaited FXS modules for a TDM400 card, and was a bit puzzled about how my phones and the FXS interface worked together. Here goes: In Sweden (that's where I am located) phones traditionally are connected in daisy chain configuration. This means that a phone in on-hook condition passes the line through back onto the outer pair of the RJ11, back into the wall

Loop length supported by FXS module on Wildcat TDM400 card
Does anyone know (appoximately) the max loop length that the FXS module on a Wildcat TDM400 card will drive an analog phone(over standard - say cat3 or 26 gage twisted-pair wire). It's clearly not going to be 18kft, but perhaps 4000 feet? Thanks Elliot Eichen elliot.eichen@tbx25.tonebridge.com

TDM400 stopped working
I excitedly installed my TDM dev kit earlier this weekend, installing asterisk and all the kernel drivers to make it work. And it did, it was fantastic. I then reboot the machine, and even after doing a modprobe wctdm, I get the following: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf': Found Jan 31 13:34:27 WARNING[342]: chan_zap.c:793 zt_open: Unable to specify channel 1: No such device or

TDM400 with FXS some handsets not ringing
Folks, I have a TDM400 with an FXS module. I'm having some trouble ringing some phones attached to the device. I have a real el cheapo handset that cost me about 9UKP. It works fine, I plug it into the Wildcard and call the channel and it rings. I have tried plugging in my BT Diverse 3016 cordless phone but it will not ring, although I can call out from it. I have also tried my GPO 332L

TDM400 FXO stops handling outgoing calls, but still accepts incoming?
I have a bit of a weird problem that I'm having great trouble debugging. I have a TDM400P PCI card with two FXO and two FXS modules. Both FXO modules are connected to BT lines here in the UK. Both BT lines have V23 Caller-ID, which works fine with Asterisk. Both asterisk and zaptel are fresh from CVS. Both FXO modules (channels 3 and 4) are in "group 1" for outgoing calls. My

TDM400 takes Zap/4 line off hook
Hello, I have a TDM400 with 2 FXS modules and 2 FXO modules, as follows: Zap/1 - internal phone Zap/2 - internal modem Zap/3 - exchange Zap/4 - exchange Recently I upgraded zaptel (and kernel modules) from 1.0.9-1.1 to 1.0.9.1 and upgraded asterisk to 1.0.9.dfsg.1-3, which are Debian versions for Debian/sarge of the packages I believe the Debian maintainers created (not in Debian) The above
