Assuming I have a firewire card with a supported chipset, is there anything special I need to do in order for the kernel to recognize the card? Skip using HPA's tools entirely and dd if=vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k count=1 and make sure that the kernel runs from a floppy disk.
