One windows game i installed, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, has a simple config utility that sets game settings based on your hardware. This utility is detecting only 64MB of video memory. Hi, I am trying to compile wine in an AMD64 Ubuntu machine, taking the precautions needed shown in the winehq's wiki to do it. The compilation finishes fine, but for some reason there is no support for some things that used to have in the i386 pre-compiled package. One of them is ALSA sound. I'm running Mandriva 2007 and like the eye candy of of the 3d desktop but wine is more important to me. Whenever I start with with the 3d desktop turned on though any 3d games I have will either crash or report that I don't have a 3d card. Is there any way round this or am I to be denied the pleasure of the wibbly wobbly windows?

does anyone have tips for installing or had success installing Medal of Honor or GhostRecon to run in wine? i have a working wine install, as it runs and accelerates half-life (and CS) just perfectly. im running rh7.2 with 20020228. when i try to install these , i get a cannot invoke iKernel.exe error (pertaining to install shield i believe). any help is greatly appreciated!! thanks, Jonathan

It worked with earlier wine versions (all patched wine versions beside 0.9.59 - that you can find on my site: http://wine.x.pl/ have MoHAA patch applied. Patch I'm talking about can by found here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9725 Maybe MoHAA no longer need this patch (don't have this game installed right now - so I can't test it. I'm using SuSE 10.2 on a x86 system. I was previously using suse 10.1 and wine was working fine. When I upgraded, i could not get wine working again. Everytime i try to launch it, using any windows program, it simply crashes x11 and i get back to xdm login screen. I can not put more info here since i don't know how to get them.
