Problems with rxfax
Dear list,
The company I'm working for is trying to use app_rxfax to receive faxes
on an Asterisk machine. Our initial tests looked very promising, but
unfortunately we've encountered some problems. We've been trying to
solve these problems for quite some time now, but we're running out of
options. So I really hope that somebody can give some help here.
Basically our set-up is

Rxfax and Txfax on Asterisk 1.4
> AFAIK the current recommendation is to use HylaFax with something

After having been through a lot of problems with RxFax and TxFax I
completely agree with this statement. Allthough the initial
configuration is a bit complicated, once you have this running you'll
get far better reliability.
Kind regards,
Ardjan Zwartjes.

Operating queues with clients on a legacy PABX
Hi guys!
I'm having one or two issues with queues hosted by an Asterisk machine
where the clients are on a legacy PABX - at least for the interim. I
fully expect most of these issues to be non-resolvable, but thought I'd
at least ask to find out if there is some way of working around the
issues. The legacy PABX is an NEC 7400 ICS connected to Asterisk via an
E1 ISDN link. Calls are

ICD Features
Following up on a thread that I started about Agents/Queue and
acknowledging calls before bridging them...
Greg Boehnlein said that he was putting his efforts into ICD.
I downloaded and installed ICD, and I can get simple queue and agent
stuff working fine, and see that this new design is much cleaner and
more powerful.
That said, in the sample conf files, the "acknowledge_call"

Asterisk Queues and Strategies
I was playing today with the different queueing strategies in
queues.conf when I noticed the following behavior.
I have 4 agents defined in a queue in queues.conf. These agents login
using AgentCallbackLogin. The strategy in the queue is set to
leastrecent. I place four calls into the queue and * sends only one
call to the least recently used agent. If that agent does not pick
up, the

Alpha Centauri crashes constantly
I'm using wine 1.2-rc5 on Xubuntu 10.04.
I've been trying to get Alpha Centauri/Alien Crossfire working for a few days now and running into nothing but annoyance so far. Latest problem; AC keeps crashing. All the time. If I save at a certain point and, say make a specific series of moves next turn and it crashes, re-loading and repeating will cause it to crash again.

Extracting Data from SQL Server
Hi,
I am new to R (and rusty on SQL!) and I'm trying to extract records from a
SQL server database. I have a table of patient records (LoadPUS) which have
three code columns which i want to evaluate against a list of particular
codes (CVD_ICD$ table). Given the size of the patient table I want to
restrict the data I pull into R to the data I only want to analyse so I am
using SQL to do this.

OpenCL runtimes and LLVM command line options
Hello everyone,
A while back I hit an issue where the presence of multiple OpenCL runtimes
on a single system triggered errors in libLLVM caused by redeclaring
command line arguments [0]. There's been some discussion on the bug report and
a pointer to a slightly older report, unrelated to OpenCL, but most likely
about the same issue [1].
OpenCL uses an ICD loader library to abstract away

Wine on Windows (via opengl32.dll)
Hello!
I'm trying to replace "default" Direct3D7 implementation with gorgeous Wine software (ddraw.dll/wined3d.dll).
However initialization brings surprises.
wined3d.dll tries to load opengl32.dll (it's correct I suppose).
opengl32.dll calls GetSystemMetrics from user32.dll (it's probably correct)
user32.dll tries to use ddraw.dll to calculate some parameters. Maybe

Is app_icd ready to replace app_queue?
I have heard about the ICD project to make a better
Call center solution for asterisk, and I just noticed
it on cvs. Is it a viable alternative or does it
need work? Either way I am definitely interested as
we are not quite happy with the current setup.
Thanks,

OpenCL runtimes and LLVM command line options
We have a similar problem in Mesa's radeonsi driver. It would be great
if command-line options could somehow be tied to an llvm::Context, for
example.
There is an even worse problem when *different versions* of LLVM are
loaded into the same process. This is basically guaranteed to lead to
crashes because of symbol clashes. I wonder if C++11 inline namespaces
could be used for proper
