Hello, I have some Aastra 9112i's in production that almost function flawlessly. The problem I'm having is when a caller is put on hold they do not hear hold music. If they are on hold for too long (~ a minute?) they are hung up on. All other phones including Aastra 480i and Sipura/Linksys ATAs all seem to be working fine. Is this a quirk anyone else has experienced? Any

Is voice quality comparable to standard consumer residential 2.4GHz cordless phones in the US$30 - $50 price range, or better/worse? How about handset and speakerphone quality for the main phone? Anyone know what the POE draw is for the Aastra 480i phones? We have switches that will do 15 watts on 12 ports but only do 7.7 watts on all 24 ports. A Cisco 3560 switch will do 15.6 watts on all 24 ports. Just trying to find out if we need that much power. Can't seem to find any info on the Aastra site. Comments?

Getting "no service" display on aastra 480i. Sip debug shows an "unathorized" blub when the aastra tries to register. Some reading indicates that 1.4 firmware wants aastra.cfg and mac.cfg in /tftpboot/. There are none. Anyone have basic config files? Or can point me to a good link? Hi, Why Aastra phones use more electricity, i.e. 48VDC whereas other phones use much less, e.g. Grandstream and Linksys both use only 5VDC. I first thought it was because of PoE, but the ones with 5VDC also run fine on PoE.
