OT: MWI on Treo 600/650
My cell vm goes to asterisk, not the carrier. Apparently MWI is turned on/off with specially formatted SMS messages. Anyone know how to do this on a Treo 600? Having the phone light from Asterisk would be HUGE ... not to mention extremely cool. dbc.

Cisco 7960 / SIP & tftp configs
I have three questions about my 7960 phone that I can't discern from the docs/wiki. 1st - If I change the SIPxxxxxx.cnf file to change registrations it sets up new lines as expected. If I delete a line it doesn't get removed when I reboot the phone. I have to go to the phone, unlock it, and reset the SIP parameters. How do I make it "forget" what it has programmed and

Re: Toronto
It looks like this meetup group is becoming the venue for contact as most "Toronto" respondents have signed up here. Can I request that the remainder who responded to the "Toronto" call signup? Shidan is the organizer and has proposed a date. I'd hate to confirm it without the remainder having input - especially those with travel times like Andrew K. out in Listowel.

MWI to 7960's sometimes delayed or lost. Please advise.
I have a large group of 7960G's running Asterisk 1.2.4 using SIP 7.5. Most of the time the message waiting indicator works fine. Once or twice a day either an MWI is not sent to the phone or the phone misses it. I have not noticed duplicates being sent and I can't figure out the time, if any, a resend is made. Anyone know why I'm missing, loosing or not sending an MWI to the

MWI not working in 1.4
Before I open a bug I'll ask again if anyone else is having trouble with receiving MWI on SIP devices in 1.4. My configuration was working fine in 1.2 but as soon as I change to any build of 1.4 I don't get notification on any of several SIP devices. I can post my configuration but since it was working I can only assume it would break if something in voicemail.conf has changed or

how to remove MWI from a Polycom phone
Hi, I'd like to disable MWI on certain lines of my IP650 Polycom phone. So I removed the "mailbox=" parameter from that line's peer section in sip.conf. Yet the envelope still appears in front of that line and the phone MWI keeps blinking. Where should I look to completely disable MWI on a certain line? Thanks,

SPA3000 as a replacement for X100P
I am still haveing problems (echo) with my X100P but I'm thinking it has more to do with the server it is in which is not a negotiable item at this time. My question then is to the use of SPA3000's as a replacement from the FXO standpoint. 1. Can you setup the FXO port to recognize distinctinve ring and call a different context like you can do with Zap channels? Being able to call a

Command to light MWI on 7940 /7960
We have several agents on queues, and want to indicate to them that they are logged in or logged out. We have tried several different ways, from changing the screen to presenting different service menus, but cannot get anything to be "in their face" (their words, not mine). One of our team has suggested, as the agents do not have voicemail, is to use the MWI on the 7940 phones to

NEWBIE: MWI on 7960
Situation: * New Install of Asterisk * 7960 w/ SIP 7.4 Image * 7912 w/ SIP040406A * 3 Lines Defined on the 7960 (5104,3100,2100) Questions (configs are below): * Why won't the MWI light on the Cisco? I've tried: * mailbox=2100 * mailbox=2100@default * mailbox=2100@wvlandsales-voicemail * Does anything look goofy overall? :-) Thanks, George Sip.conf [2100]

MWI - Config Stupidity or Notify Issues?
I am having a problem with the message waiting indicator. We are currently using the ast_data modules for both our sip configuration and our voicemail configuration. In the mailbox field I have tried using both mailboxnumber@context and simply mailboxnumber. Yet so far I am still not getting a MWI on my 7905's or on my 7960's. My assumption would be that I am still missing something,

Voicemail2 and MWI
We've been testing (aim:frziegler and aim:end1r) the Voicemail2 app for a few days now, based on a CVS build from Monday, 5/12/03-23:15. Works good! Thanks Mark! We seem to have found a bug in the MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) logic. By simply creating msg0000.txt files in both structures, e.g.: for extension 4000: voicemail1: /var/spool/asterisk/vm/4000/INBOX/msg0000.txt

Polycom MWI's will not turn off
Hello, I have a bunch of Polycom 601's and Asterisk 1.4.13. The problem is that the MWI indicators will never go off (The blinking red light and envelope in the LCD). I have tried to upgrade to 1.4.14 and all different SIP versions on the Polycoms. I am now at 1.6.7 Here is the SIP Message that turns on the lights: Scheduling destruction of SIP dialog '

MWI bug ?
Hi Lee, You need to specify the VM context that you are using.. so using your examples.. extensions.conf entry.. exten => 1000,1,Dial(SIP/1000,20) exten => 1000,2,Voicemail2(u1000) exten => 1000,102,Voicemail2(b1000) exten => 1000,103,Hangup should be.. exten => 1000,1,Dial(SIP/1000,20) exten => 1000,2,Voicemail2(u1000@sip) exten => 1000,102,Voicemail2(b1000@sip) exten

Just add a 5vdc solid state relay ('cause you can't sink too much current out of the RS232C port). Substitute "2", "4" or "6" in the

Questions about chan_dahdi, PRI, MWI (and Q.SIG)
Hello everyone, My setup: Debian squeeze Asterisk 1.8, DAHDI, libpri, compiled from source TE110P, attached to a Deutsche Telekom Octopus E Modell 300/800 I'm trying to get MWI for Voicemail working. In the same server I have also got an Eicon DIVA PRI card for testing purposes (it is integrated via CAPI and the chan-capi channel driver into my Asterisk). MWI works just fine there. I

MWI not working on Polycom Phones
Hi All - I'm running version SIP version 1.3.4 on various IP300, IP500, and IP600 Polycom phones. I'm having a tough time with MWI. I thought I remembered somebody on the list saying that they had it working, but I can't find it in the archives now. I have all the phones configured for MWI as specified in the WIKI: ipdmid.cfg: up.oneTouchVoiceMail="1"
