RE: Welcome to the "asterisk-users" mailing list
We must have had the magic version of 1.6.x then, because we increased our buddy watch limit from 8 to 48 in that version. -----Original Message----- From: Jessee J Holmes [mailto:jholmes@atacomm.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 8:18 AM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] RE: Welcome to the "asterisk-users" mailing list Limit

polycom repair
Hi all, Has anyone had any experience getting Polycom phones repaired? The screen on one of our IP600s got smashed, and I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to get it repaired, or if it'd just be cheaper to buy a new phone. Snom 320 password
A client of mine has a Snom 320. Usually when he comes in each morning, it is asking him for a password. A power cycle brings it back to normal operation. Grandstream GXW-4108 8 port FXO
Has anyone used either the 8 port or 4 port FXO device from Grandstream? (GXW-4108 or 4104). They seem to be the lowest cost multi port FXO devices that I can find, so I'm getting ready to buy the 8 port version. I just want to see if there are any opinions on the device before I commit to the purchase. If people have not used the Grandstream, are there any issues with using

Polycom Power Specs
Does anybody happen to know the input power specs for the Polycom IP 500 and IP 600? We've mixed up our power supplies and we've got a whole box of them and can't figure out which go to the Polycoms. I would rather not kill the phones by trying random ones....

PoE - IEEE 802.3af
Hi, I'm not clear on how to use Power--over-Ethernet, specifically with Polycom phones. What I understand, is that by buying the Polycom 501 with the 802.3af cable bundle, I simply connect my phone, through the Polycom provided "special" RJ-45 cable, into a PoE capable switch, and voil?! Is this true? And if so, what happens when the Phone doesn't connect directly to the

Advice on best operator phone (with attendant console)
One of our clients is using a Grandstream GXP2000 with an attendant console. We have used the same phone with past clients successfully however this particular operator processes around 200 calls a hours and the GXP2000 for sure does not like the quick line shuffling and call volume. We get the following problems randomly: 1. menu stops working 2. transfer key stops working 3. Line 1 LED gets

Sipura 841 delayed: other PoE options?
I -think- that the Sipura 841 was PoE... and I'd been anxious to find out. However, according to Atacomm.com, it's been delayed until mid-January. *sigh* So: does anyone know of a (decent) phone that meets the following criteria, and isn't too expensive? - SIP - two (or more) lines - some form of TCP/IP-based configuration - 802.3af (power-over-ethernet) - 100 Mbit passthrough (not

8+ line receptionist only setup
Hi, We are looking towards a 8+ CO line setup (20 extensions) in our office but we do not want an IVR(auto-attendant) feature. All incoming will be answered by a receptionist. I have read the multi-line configuration for cisco 7960 thread in this list but that way I believe we could only display 6 incoming lines. What will happen to the rest? Does the expansion module for the cisco 7960 work
