polycom queue bug
I'm having a problem with polycom ip601. If I Dial() directly eg Dial(SIP/4000) it works perfectly. The polycom rings, and stops ringing as soon as I hang up. But if the phone is called via a queue, the polycom continues to ring long after I've hung up. Other phones in the queue (grandstream, cisco) don't have this problem, and stop ringing properly when I hang up. polycom bug

Polycom IP601 call parking
One more Polycom IP601 question please (sorry for the long intro here to document) ... In order to closely approximate the behavior of the previous telephone system that many of the users are familiar with, I have set up call parking like this: - features.conf [general] section contains: parkext => ** ; What extension to dial to park parkpos => 10-11 ; What

Newbie Polycom: Cannot conference with >10 digit 3rd party
Calling all Polycom gurus: I am using Polycom IP601 phones with Asterisk 1.4.21.2 In all Polycom phones, I set the following in sip.cfg. <dialplan dialplan.impossibleMatchHandling="2"> </dialplan> (I leave the digitmap unchanged because I thought setting impossibleMatchHandling will ignore the bitmap) ...so that I could dial any number by entering a variable-size

Taking a Polycom IP601 home
Make sure you set nat=yes for the sip user. Asterisk will then send replies back to the source IP address, rather than what's in the Via: header. > -----Original Message----- > From: Warren (mailing lists) [mailto:warren-lists@icruise.com] > Sent: Friday, October 27, 2006 5:45 AM > To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion > Subject: [asterisk-users] Taking a

SIP hardphones with xml/html/xhtml/microbrowser support?
What hardphones support xml/html/xhmtl/microbrowser? I need an inexpensive SIP hardphone that can run simple applications (queue status, etc). The phones I know of: Aastra 480i, 9112i, 9133i (though limited by 3 LCD lines on the 91xx seems kind of silly) Cisco 79xx Mitel 5235 Polycom IP601 Any others? -Dan

Newbie Polycom: can Speed Dial display last name first?
I am trying to find out if Polycom (I am using IP601) can display the speed dial list using last name first instead of first name first. Currently, the speed dial list displays first name first. Thanks.

overlap dialing on a pri span
Hi, I am lost trying to figure out how to enable overlap dialing for calls coming in and coing out on a pri span. DISA looked promising at first, but does not seem to support overlap dialing. Just picking up a call by and trying to dial out does not seem the way to do it either. I tried: [dialincontext] exten => 12341234,1,Goto(dialoutcontext,s,1) [dialoutcontext] exten => s,1,Wait,1

"!" in dial-pattern not work with overlap dialing
hello all i want to have overlap dialing in asterisk. it works fine if i don't have "!" in my pattern. for example pattern "07." works fine and i can call 07122 by overlap dialing via it. but if i define "07!" i can't call 07122 because it doesn't wait to collect all digits and therefore call 07. if i define "07.!" it works fine again and

retrieving dialed number when overlap dialing?
I have a number of local users who can dial out on a pri channel using the fantastic new overlap dialing feature. I would like to add a speed dialing feature, such as 1. User picks up and dials out (dial startet with option 'H') 2. User hangs up call with '*' 3. Dialed number is stored in a variable 4. User dials a two-digit extension followed by the # sign to save the stored

Newbie Polycom: IP601 console with expansion module
I was reading a Polycom brochure and it appears that there is really no special receptionist console and the console is basically a IP601. Is this correct? The only difference is to purchase an expansion module in order to have more shortcut keys for the girls. So, apart from the hardware, as far as the dialplan is concerned, do I just treat the receptionist console as any other extension? Are

DAHDI/ZAP overlap dialing
Hi, I have a PRI euroisdn link between an Alcatel PBX and Asterisk. I'm having some trouble with overlap dialing. Suppose I dial '874053' from an Alcatel extension ('7034') where '87' is an Alcatel prefix of type "ARS Prof.Trg Grp Seiz.with overlap". I'm expecting Asterisk to receive '1004053' (where '100' is a prefix which always shows

Update the LCD with the callee's name after dialing
Is is possible with a Polycom phone to update the LCD with the callee's name after dialing them? When you dial ext 103 now, it says 'To:103'...would be nice if could have 'To:Dan Marino' This is the case even when you have a contact for ext 103. None of the phones I have ever tested do this, Polycom, Linksys, Cisco, Grandstream, Yealink, etc. -Matt

QSIG-SIP overlap dialing and Asterisk (RFC4497)
P.H.B. is insisting on having the ability to create a transparant SIP tunnel between old style ISDN telephony PBX with overlap dialing: PBX - ISDN - IAD - SIP - * - DAHDI - PRI The idea is that dialed numbers a the PBX are transmitted to the PRI as they are typed, whenever the PRI gets the signal that the number is complete the dialer instantly gets a ringing. This behavior is described in RFC

Problems with overlap dial and Xorcom Astribank BRI
I have a strange problem with overlap dialing. I installed an asterisk server between a Siemens HiCom PBX and our telephony provider. Everything is working fine except some strange problems with the dialing of the fax (connected to the HiCom PBX). It seems to me that if dialing takes too long Asterisk just hangs up the channel without recognizing that the fax machine is still dialing: (Fax gets

Asterisk/Polycom Dialed Party Name
Hi, We are in the process of moving from an Avaya Definity to Asterisk for our institution's phone system. I got one feature that the Avaya had, which I have not been able to reproduce with Polycom phones and Asterisk; since this feature seemed so small and useless to me when testing, I kind of ignored it. Now I am getting more "I miss that" requests than I expected. =) On the
