Asterisk SIP phones to Cisco Unity via CCM4.0SIP Trunk
It can be done.
1. Setup a new Vm profile on CCM with a mask of XXXX
2. Setup a CTI route point:
a. Set the directory number to a pattern. I use *27XX
but any pattern that you can send from * is good, ie. 88XXX
b. Set the VM profile to the newly created profile
c. Set the line to forward all calls to VM
3. Change the dialplan in * to append the extension called to

Asterisk and Cisco Unity?
Has anyone here any experience in getting an Asterisk box to talk to
a Cisco Unity system? I have a potential customer who would like to
add a conference bridge to their existing Cisco Unity setup.
The digging I have done so far suggests that it should be possible to
talk SIP between them, but I'd be interested in any stories of success
or failure.
Cheers
Tony

Cisco vs Asterisk
Hello all,
A client of us, is thinking to migrate their actual PBX to a Cisco
CallManager. We want to sell him an asterisk box to complement the
Cisco PBX.
I think to use asterisk as a Voicemail server (Replazing the Cisco Unity)
Has asterisk all the functionalities to replace a CIsco Unity server?
Which functionalities Cisco Unity has than asterisk could cover?
How could asterisk complement the

Asterisk and CCM 5.x SIP trunk
Hi,
I was able to work out SIP trunk between Asterisk and CCM 4.x without
any issues. Whereas SIP trunk in CCM 5.x is not working with Asterisk.
Asterisk is sending OPTIONS messages to CCM 5.x for which CCM is not
replying. For the same reason Asterisk is marking it as UNREACHABLE.
Anybody got Asterisk and CCM 5.x intergation working. How can I fix
the problem which I'm facing with CCM 5.x?

g729 codec over SIP Trunk between CCM and Asterisk
Hello,
My problem is, outgoing calls (from asterisk to CCM) work fine but incoming
(from CCM to Asterisk) does not work because of CCM is trying to use g729
over SIP trunk. I have found that link after a quick search. Problem is the
same as in link below (However my Asterisk version is 1.8.13) and solution
seems to have H323 trunk between CCM and Asterisk for using g729 codec. The

RTP path with Cisco CCM
Hi,
I have the following config:
[7960] <--skinny--> [Cisco CCM] <--SIP_trunk--> [asterisk] <--SIP-->
[X-lite]
Is there a chance to avoid the RTP stream from passing through the Cisco
CCM ? I would like to have all RTP handled by the *.
This is just a testbed, for a larger project. What I want to achieve, is
actually this:

Cisco Call Manager & Asterisk for Voicemail
Has anybody successfully (or I guess unsuccessfully for that matter)
implemented Cisco Call Manager and used an * box for voicemail? I
checked the wiki and google and I see some references to Call Manager
Express and *, but CME is completely different than CM. If anybody has
done this or has any insight, it would be appeciated. We are trying to
migrate ~ 300 users off of Cisco Unity and

CCM 6 and Asterisk routing again
Running Cisco Call Manager 6.1 and Asterisk 1.4. CCM is connected to a T1,
Asterisk is running strictly VoIP over the network and using CCM as the
trunk.
Calls from the SIP phones connected to Asterisk work fine. They can call
both external numbers and any Cisco extensions attached to CCM.
Calls from CCM to Asterisk fail without any notification in Asterisk (and I
DID have this working at one

Using Asterisk as VMail server on CCM 3.3.3 System
I've started to look at how I might go about using the Voicemail
functionality of Asterisk in our Call Manager environment we have in
the office. We're currently using Unity but want to look at moving
off that if at all possible.
I've read a few things on the wiki and also taken a look through the
mailing list to see what info is out there to do this kind of setup,
but also wanted to

CCM and multiple trunks
Okay, another Cisco related issue (sorry!).
Single Asterisk box at location 1.
Single Cisco box at location 2, however the Cisco is also the PBX for
location 3 (same physical machine, calls routed via VoIP).
Trying to have Asterisk be able to call EITHER Call Manager location. The
single SIP trunk in CCM (version 6.1 mind you) only allows a single device
pool to be selected. So configuring calls

Asterisk to Cisco Unity
Hi all, first post. My company's office in the UK is soon going to get a
Cisco VoIP solution system. What I am interested in, and couldn't find
googling, is if it is possible to connect an Asterisk solution to the
Cisco system and have all the nice advantages of it (mainly calling the
extensions and directly reach the other office).
Thanks, have a nice day

Call Manager or Asterisk
Hello list.
No intention to start a flamewar here but I would really like opinions
from those who know both the Cisco and Asterisk system. I'm working for
a company with 15 offices in 11 countries, offices are relatively small
(3-20 people each) and most of them have a Cisco 1760 Router installed
with Call manager express (CME) and 1-3 ISDN lines (2-6 simultaneous calls).

Unity 3d / Nova fps / Facebook games
Hello,
I noticed that in the last period, many gaming companies started to build free games for the online platforms. I think that in the next period of time, they will appear allot of 3d games on social sites.
My example is N.O.V.A. from facebook (developed by Gameloft). From my pov it's a very good start for online 3d games.
So, what's my problem:
I want to play nova on linux, using

Hack to make * -> (H323) -> CCM -> IOS GW work
The hack below is for OpenH323, not Asterisk. This is not an Asterisk
problem AFAICT. I am posting it here so that any other Asterisk user with a
similar problem might benefit from it. I may or may not post it to an
OpenH323 list, but since both variants of the H.323 channel in Asterisk
use non-current OpenH323 versions, it may not be of any benefit to anyone
anytime soon if I went that route!
