This would be the trickiest, but not unsolvable. For each Asterisk connect Unity user, modify their MWI extension in their Unity sunscriber profile to dial Asterisk. On Asterisk add an extension with a small AGI script to 'touch' the local VM status.> we might as well buy the 7940s ( I wanted to get a bunch of 941s),> or ditch unity... hrm.

Hrm, I made a new extension, made sure that I could dial it from a ccm phone -> asterisk. then I set that as an alternate MWI extension ( it always put X in as an additional entry ). the AGI I have behind that extension never runs ( in fact, unity never calls asterisk ). any other suggestions?
