Asterisk for Call Center (missing reference)
Hi Folks,
I've been searching for an specific feature on asterisk and I found an e-mail from "John Todd" asking for the same thing.
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-May/045882.html
To be able to listen (zapbarge, zapscan or chanspy) an specific channel and can talk to one side (the operator).

ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call
monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls?
The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all
of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones.
Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has
privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow all outbound zap
calls to be

Final version of ZapScan
Hey folks --
Some of you had asked about getting my modification to ZapBarge that lets
you monitor active Zap channels, scanning through them with the # key.
I had posted a version a few days ago that was pretty crude; it didn't
check to see which channels were active and assumed you had 23.
I've finished a new version that checks to see what channels are actually
active and pulls

ChanSpy - Should I repatch it ?
With the deafening silence from my previous questions, I feel seriously
alone in the desire to have ChanSpy available.
I want to be able to perform a "ZapBarge" on an Agents conversation, and
ChanSpy was the answer to my prayers.

7777 (simulate incoming call) not working
I'm setting up a new AAH 1.0 box to replace my AAH 0.6 box. Though on the
new box, I've installed a generic ebay X100P. I don't have my livevoip or
voicepulse accounts set up yet on the new box (can both boxes be registered
at the same time?). I've set up one IP phone (SPA841) with the new box. I
have my SBC POTS line plugged into the fxo card. I set up everything in
AMP.

Monitor Logged in Agent's conversation
Hi,
Is it possible to monitor conversation of logged in Agents? Currently I
am using ZapScan to monitor incoming calls, but I would like to monitor
individual agents.

ChanSpy by anthm and more...
Everyone we have a few new things to give back to the asterisk community.
http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002379
http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002380
http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002381
These include app_chanspy, the ability to spy on ANY bridged call taking
place inside asterisk. NOT just ZAP as with ZapScan/Barge.

I just check the source code, Monitor uses ast_writestream and it
eventurally goes down to au_write, g723_write, etc. They don't commit to
the disk. So, in effect, if you have a lot of ram, the audio should stay
in ram until it gets swap out or the file is closed.

zaptel hardware detection with genzaptelconf
Hi
Someone complained in #asterisk-gui that the Zaptel hardware detection
did not work. It seems that zapscan.bin did not work properly, as no
/etc/asterisk/zapscan.conf was generated.
Solution: detect zaptel hardware with genzaptelconf, and generate
zapscan.conf from it.
genzaptelconf
grep '^fx[os][kl]s=' /etc/zaptel.conf \
| sed 's/\(fx[os]\)..=\(.*\)/[\2]\nport=\1\n/'

asterisk-gui installation hangs
Hi,
I use asterisk branch 1.4 and gui 1.4 as well.
I have the following situation:
When I try to make gui configuration by
http://localhost:8088/asterisk/static/config/setup/install.html
I can see that application logs my user correctly but there is no
browser window shift to the next page. it stays at the logging one.
I get the following info in the console:

Poor volume on SPA-2100 due to asterisk?
I just bough a Sipura SPA-2100 to use with Asterisk. When I use the
analog handset plugged into the SPA-2100, the person on the other end
can hardly hear me.
I check the SPA-2100 setup and their is no mic/spk gain control. Is
this a problem with the SPA-2100 or with Asterisk? Any way for asterisk
to compensate for the poor audio level (if the problem is the SPA-2100)?
Thanks,
Mike

zap barge restrictions
I have a couple of questions on the zapbarge:
1) zapbarge asks for a channel - how would a manager know what channel to
enter ? Is there any way of being able to enter an extension number instead
? I know that you can get the information from the manager interface, but I
wouldn't want to give my users access to this, or have to install / write a
system just to get an extension number from a

US Caller ID
Okay, I can't find what might be causing this. Here is what I got:
Asterisk server hooked up to a digital T1 line (full 24-channel) via a
Digium card.
Verizon has turned on caller ID on the first line (I can guarantee it
is on as I can hear the FSK tones on this line but not the others).
Using zttool an ZapScan() I have determined the following:
