Fw: linksys rt31p2 test case
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a test case for an ISP featuring an asterisk server and a couple of linksys rt31p2-na routers registering on it.
Instead of using dsl lines, i'm trying to plug the * server and the routers on a cisco switch, just to test their functionality.
I have created a vlan and a subnet on the switch and set up the ip addresses of the routers in that subnet.
When i plug

rxfax detection problems with multiple contexts
Hello,
I have a rather odd problem with Asterisk detecting faxes. I have two
POTS lines coming into the box (TDM400P). Line 1 is for voice, Line 2
is fof fax. When I set them up with channel => 1-2 in zapata.conf,
all is fine, but as soon as I have two channel => definitions,
Asterisk is unable to detect faxes. The fax line is not supposed to
ring local phones, so the most obvious

SUSE 9.2 and Zaptel channels
Of course I am not a kernel expert, so .. please be patient.
I am investigating on my zaptel/zapata problem.
As the main error message asterisk quits on mentions <'/dev/zap/channel':

Hangup Issues on TDM40B FXO Australia
Afternoon all,
After doing some test on my asterisk box I can successfully receive
calls to my Asterisk PBX to a SIP phone from The Telstra PSTN network
Dial out from a sip phone is also not an issue, all calls connect and
terminate normally.
If I call the Asterisk PBX say from PSTN in Zap1-1 and out through
ZAP2-2 back to the PSTN (after entering the correct pin off course) the
card does not

Phantom Rings
I'm having a major problem at one of my branch offices with "Phantom
Rings" on their asterisk-based phone system. The system was originally
built using 2 X100P cards and was recently upgraded to a Rhino R4FXO-EC
card. The upgrade severely increased the frequency of the phantom
rings. I've read everything I can find on-line about automatic testing
and noise on the line and

AS a proof of concept experiment, I want to try and integrate Asterisk with my Lucent Definity G3 switch. I don?t have an available T1 port on the G3 but I can round up 4 analog ports off the G3. What I thought I could do is create a ?Hunt group? on the G3. Let?s say I configure 5610 ? 5613 as a hunt group. I know I would need a 4 port FXO card to install in the Asterisk server. Two configuration

[LLVMdev] SIV tests in LoopDependence Analysis, Sanjoy's patch
Hi,
When I write various test cases and explore how they're handled by the code
in LoopDependenceAnalysis::analysePair, I'm surprised. This loop collects
pairs of subscripts from the source and destination refs.
* // Collect GEP operand pairs (FIXME: use GetGEPOperands from BasicAA),
adding*
* // trailing zeroes to the smaller GEP, if needed.*
* GEPOpdsTy destOpds, srcOpds;*

Speeding up ActiveRecord creation?
My completely empty model (no validation callbacks etc etc) takes an
average of 0.05 seconds to create, at least according to

Fedora2 and zaptel - using the udev
Hi,
I am sorry if this message has been reposted, but for some reason I am
having problems with posting it.
I configured asterisk and zaptel modules with fedora2.
I want to be able to load the zaptel wcfxo and wcfxs modules.
For now I will use only the Wildcard TDM400P card.
I am able to load the modules but I cant configure them using ztcfg or
zttool because the tools are compiled to use the

Vote for CentOS - AGAIN :)
The preliminary round voting is completed in the "2005 Readers' Choice
Awards" at Linux Journal.
CentOS was nominated in the "distribution:" category along with 18 other
Linux distros ... and we finished in the top 3 (along with Ubuntu and
FedoraCore).
Thanks to every one who voted for CentOS. I really did not expect that
we would be on the final ballot, though I am

"Out the box" solutions?
Hi, again.
I've spent a week trying to get asterisk to work on FreeBSD unix, with some
success. Everything works until I plug the box into the TELCO line and then
the line goes off-hook and stays that way.
So I bit the bullet and decided to install the application on a fresh linux
install. Not to start an OS war, here, but linux is ... difficult ... for an
old unix hand to get his mind

File share access problems
Greetings,
Since rebooting our samba server last night, we are no longer able to
access the documents on the private or public file shares. A Word document
is giving an error like:
The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions:
* check the file permissions for the document or drive
* use the file open dialog box to locate the document

dialing out with the outgoing queue problem.
Hi,
I have cvs updated all my modules (zapata, libpri, zaptel and asterisk).
I have also read in the archives & seems that no-one has run into this
problem.
What I'm trying to do is simple. Just make and outbound call using the
/var/spool/asterisk/outgoing directory.
I copied /usr/src/asterisk/sample.call and only changed the context &
extension.
I configured my Zap1 to the same

e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block
I posted this to the Fedora-list, but thought I might get some
additional information here as well.
I have a HD that refuses to mount with a 'bad magic number in
super-block'. I'm running FedoraCore 6 x86_64.

Thanks for you comments. I have the one port card now. I plan on
purchasing the TDM400. My only question is whether or not the Dell
optiplex has pci 2.1 (I think)
I have one system running with the single port card. Today I received 2
sipura 2000 modules. Configured the first one tonight... Works great.

ADS and Winbind ... Can't access with Samba host name ...
Greetings ...
It seems I have really got myself confused ...
I have a Win2K3 ADS domain, I have two FedoraCore systems, one with
Samba 3.0.0 and the other with Samba 3.0.1. Both give me the same problem.
If I try access the Samba shares from Win2K3 using the host number,
I get prompted for a username and password, and no matter what I type
in, I can't get in.
If I use

SpanDSP - Training failed error / timing problem
I am having a problem with SpanDSP. What happens is when I send a fax
to SpanDSP the fax message seems to fail in the training phase. I think
it's a timing error, however I have no idea about how to rectify the
problem. I have included a copy of the log below. I am using a Digium
TDM-400P card with 2 x FXO ports and 2 x FXS ports. The fax is
connected to one of the FXS ports (Zap3). The

Unable to create ZAP channel - All circuits are busy
Hello,
I have *@Home 1.5 installed and all is working fine for incoming calls and
sometimes outgoing calls. Installed in the box is a digium TDM04B (4xFXO
Ports)
setup as ZAP1 to ZAP4. I have incoming calls coming in on lines 1-4 in that
order and outgoing calls prefering ZAP4 then ZAP3 then ZAP2.
When i try to dial out to the PSTN from a SIP phone it sometimes works
(normally after a reboot)
