Ascend Pipeline POTS to TDM400P FXO Question..
I have a TDM400P with some FXO ports, and I wanted to connect the two POTS lines from my Pipeline-75 ISDN router into the FXO interfaces on my Asterisk server. Hooked it up, seemed fine, called in and it answered. The problem is when the call is hung up on, the FXO port never drops. So of course then the P75 just holds the line off hook and you get a busy. So it's good for the first

MGCP IADs
Hi, For MGCP users. Is there any success stories with any MGCP IAD vendor. I?m trying to find an IAD which works with Asterisk. I?ve tried the Cisco IAD 2430 without success; but SIP on this IAD works but it?s limited (no authentication, no notify messages, etc) and with higher density IAD (16 or more ports) it?s nice to control using MGCP. Any information will be apreciated ! Thanks. --

Softswitch
Pardon my ignorance, but I was hoping someone could clear up something for me. - For a few POTS lines, digium has a single port card for that, or a T1 card to a channel bank. - For 10 or more lines, digium has a T1 or E1 card for that too based on PRI channels - For 100's to 1000's of lines, I suspect a soft-switch is in order??? A traditional phone company will sell: - POTS lines for

Interfacing to an IAD
I'm considering switching my incoming phones lines from standard analog to a T-1 service from XO communications. They propose to bring in an "IAD" which has 12 lines of voice and 768k of internet bandwidth as part of a package deal. Since I want to keep the voice traffic in the digital domain the equipment they're proposing is a "Lucent Digital Vina Integrator" IAD

Random Behavior on Trunk Lines with TDM Card
We have implemented * in one of our branch offices and recently ran up against a very strange issue. On random occasions, when we would dial out using our trunk lines, we would get a message stating "you do not have to dial a 1 or 0 when calling this number" even if we didn't dial a 1 or 0 in the dial sequence at all. After much troubleshooting, we found users with similar issues

Problem using TDM400P FXS card
Hello, everyone After having spent several time to look for any solution for my problem, I decided to write here. Here is the problem got a Digium X101 FXO card and Digium TDM400P alias freshmaker (1 fxs module on it on first port ) in my asterisk box. The X101 works perfectly. The problem comes from the TDM400, when i plug a tested working phone on it , i get no dialtone; the goal is to

Static noise and server locked when using two 4FXO tdm400p pci cards
Hello all We have tested for a mounth or two an asterisk PBX using one T1 channel bank with 24 fxs and one TDM400P digium card with 4 FXO modules. This worked with minor problems, the most notorious being some sporadic static noice or failure in the first FXO module on the wildcard. Now we have a client with 12 pstn lines and 48 extensions and we are trying to deploy an Asterisk PBX server

Echo Cancellation, TDMoE fails, X100P works
We have been pretty much able to solve our echo problems, except for the primary mode in which we desire to operate our system. See system diagram at bottom. Prior to making adjustments to cancel echos (all echocancel=no): Call Type Result (Before) --------- --------------- CP <- LEC PRI * TDMoE * FXO -> AP

TDM400P lockups (FXO)
Hey all - we have two TDM400P cards in an SMP Redhat9 box, with 4 FXO ports each running thel latest Asterisk CVS. Users connect to this to share POTS lines using analog phones connected to Sipura SPA-2000 boxes. All works reasonably well, except every day (or more) a line will get "locked up". No other way to describe it really -- the line just stops working, so if someone tries

DTMF from TDM400P and X100P
With one IVR payment system, I noticed quite a difference in DTMF transmission between these two cards. The IVR missed nearly all digits from X100P, while receiving digits from TDM fine. Since neither card process or synthesize audio, what can the difference be? (This particular IVR has problem with some regular phone devices, too.) Yuan Liu

TDM400P periodic sound clicks on FXS
Hi, I am having periodic sound clicks (2-3 per second) on all FXS of a TDM400P when the remote end is my VoIP provider. However: - recording the conversation on the asterisk, does not have the glitches, although I can hear them on a real phone. - My VoIP provider to my VoIP phones through the same asterisk is OK. - TDM to TDM through the same asterisk is OK. I tried with and without

As anybody managed to get working Asterisk against an MGCP Cisco gateway ? Which MGCP version should I use ? Also I recently

Unable to get TDM400p working
This has got to be a stupid error I'm making... I have been experimenting with different hardware and software configurations before I decide what to use as a production platform. Up until just recently things were going well. But now it appears I'm unable to get access to my TDM400p from Asterisk. I know the TDM card works fine, used it in another machine where it performed flawlessly.

X100P installed OK, after added TDM400P Asterisk would no longer start
Hello I setup Asterisk@Home with purely VoIP and it worked fine. I then added an X100P card so I could call out / take inbound calls via PSTN and that went fine. But I have just added a TDM400P card (specifically a TDM30B) and now problems. Here is some of the output. Any ideas on what I should be looking at next? When I run genzaptelconf -s -d I get lots of erors on screen - bit I can

Dial out problems with Digium TDM400P card.
I recently purchased a Asterisk Developer's Kit (TDM) and now have it outfitted with 2 FXO modules and 2 FXS modules. I'm not using the X100P modem card that came with the kit. I'm having problems with dialing out on my POTS line. Successful dial out is intermittent. About 50% of the time the call goes through. The other 50% it is dialing the wrong number. ( I can hear the error

TDM400 audio problems
Sorry everyone, I know this has been hashed over a bunch of times but I can't find anything that pertains to specific cracking and popping on the FXO modules of a TDM04. This happens on inbound or outbound calls. This is the first install I have done with a TDM card for FXO modules so please, be kind if I am missing something really simple. Damn I wish everyone wanted t-1's or
