SV: SV: Queues and call waiting indication
My suggestion would be the one-line eyeBeam phone under development. Check out support.xten.com.

SV: Queues and call waiting indication
Hi,
This issue has been discussed probably a million times on every asterisk forum in the world and I have the same problem too. Another problem you would have with the agents is that when they make an outgoing call they are not regarded as "busy" by asterisk and it sends more calls to the agent if it has call waiting enabled.
This behaviour is totally senseless since the whole purouse

Queues and call waiting indication
Hi,
I'm running 1.2 beta1 in a mini call center.
I have 3 queues with 10 operators, and I'm running into some trouble because when all the operators are busy answering call asterisk still sends them more, resulting in a "beep beep" (call waiting) over and over again in Xlite audio.
An easy solution woud be the use of a "single line" user agent, like firefly, still

RoundRobin Holding Memory?
I have a queue setup to 'roundrobin' (NOT roundrobin with memory). I
have three agents. We'll call them 101, 102, and 103.
When a call comes in.. I want it to always try 101 if no answer try
102.. if no answer try 103, etc.
However, what it is doing is... it will ring 101... if 101 answers,
next time a call comes in it will go to 102. This isn't at all what I
want. Any ideas

roundrobin strategy in queues not working as described?
I have set up an operator queue for our receptionist.
That way, if she takes a break or is out, by logging out of the queue,
calls to the "Operator" can be handled by other agents.
I have set strategy = roundrobin in queues.conf.
According to "the book" ATFoT, roundrobin always starts with the first
agent in the queue. This is the desired result. I want all calls to
start

Call Queue NOT using RoundRobin ?!?
I have setup several Calling Queues, each setup with RoundRobin strategy. When I call the queue, the first member/agent phone rings. Great! I call it again, the second member/agent rings??
I thought that was the RRMemory strategy, but it seems RoundRobin is also doing it.
Anyone know what I can do to my queues, in order to force each call down the ordering of my members list?

is roundrobin and rrmemory the same meaning?
Dear all,
I can't understand the diff between roundrobin and rrmemory strategy.
Could you explain for me ?
and is roundrobin means each available interface ring once or several
times and ring another?
; A strategy may be specified. Valid strategies include:
;
; ringall - ring all available channels until one answers (default)
; roundrobin - take turns ringing each available interface

createlink with out agents in 1.4
Hi,
I am moving my call center to 1.4. Previously I was recording calls in
agents.conf with the following config
recordagentcalls=yes
recordformat=wav
createlink=yes
So I had the filename in all calls which was *connected to agents*. I
am looking for a similar functionality for 1.4.
I am now recording calls using the following configuration.

Got SIP response 603 decline, then the call hang up
Hi to all, I have a strange behavior in my asterisk server.
I have a queue for 5 agents, the calls enter the queue an go to the agents
normally, but if I need to transfer or dial directly to an agent extension
that is already in a call, the pbx hung up the actual call (not the
transferred call).
This is what I see in the log.
Called 103

roundrobin and rrmemory with pre-defined agent order
Hi,
I would like to implement a queue using a circular strategy, I mean,
using roundrobin or rrmemory strategies. However, I am not able to
define the order Asterisk will call the agents once a new call arrives
in the queue. Seems that Asterisk will always define its order as the
queues.conf file is read, and most of times this order is different from
the one I want (for each queue in

Queue - roundrobin member order
Hi,
I'm struggle to set up a simple round-robin queue, where I can
determine the order in which the members are tried.
My queues.conf is currently:
[TechSupportQ]
strategy = roundrobin
context = techSupportQueued
timeout = 10
retry = 1
wrapuptime=3
maxlen = 0
joinempty = yes
member = SIP/405
member = SIP/403
member = SIP/402
I am not using Agents (defined in agents.conf), because I

HFC ISDN card with bristuff from jung hanns.n et?
Hi Alessio
Yes, the problems you report do seem similar to the issues I had. I found on the Dells that the audio prompts were very choppy and played slower than normal. Occasionally there would be 'bursts' oav a second or so of 'good' audio.
I also suspected IRQ issues but the Dell Mobos had no way of adjusting them. Best thing is to try and get the card on its own unshared

playing hold time announcement without queue position announcement
Greetings fellow list members,
I have what I think is a relatively simple question, but it did not
appear to be addressed on the wiki. I am trying to setup a queue so
that it plays an estimated holdtime announcement, but not a queue
position announcement. Currently my dialplan does both, and while I
know how to take out the estimated holdtime without affecting the queue
position

Mysql and Voicemail
Hi,
I would like to enable mysql handling of voicemail boxes ... following
that tutorial
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+voicemail+database
so I modified the makefile of /apps directory to include
USE_MYSQL_VM_INTERFACE=1
and copied mysql-vm-routines.h in the /apps dir, set up the db and
some boxes in the table, also edited the voicemail.conf file.
Everything compiles just fine, then

Queues: roundrobin w/ reset ("circular call distribution")
It looks like this issue has been raised before, but I see it mostly
ignored and no answers given, so here it is again:
For the past couple of years, I've wanted a queue that works very
similarly to roundrobin/rrmemory, but that doesn't remember anything
about where the last ring went to. This new strategy would always start
at the first member (as defined in queues.conf) when a new

how does "wrapuptime" work in queue.conf
Hi list,
I'd like to have the callers to listen to the advertisement (music on
hold) before the agents answer them. So, I have wrapuptime=10 in
queue.conf, but the call still goes straight to the agents without
delay.
Here's my queue.conf:

persistentmembers = yes
[738]
musiconhold = empty
;musiconhold = default
;announce = q-738
;strategy = ringall
strategy = rrmemory
