US CallerID and TDM04B
Hello All, I have new TDM04B installed and working fine with Asterisk 1.0.5 built on RedHat 9. All is working fine except CallerID that bothers me big time. I have several Panasonic and Sony phones and CallerID works fine with it (when I plug in the line into phone instead into Asterisk I get CallerID) but fails with Asterisk. I am based in California (San Francisco) and my Telco is SBC

Best config for 12 FXO system?
I have a client who wants a Meetme box with 12 FXO ports, to connect to Analogue lines coming from an Ericsson PBX. It looks like I could do this with four different hardware configurations: a) three TDM04B cards (based on TDM400P) b) one TDM04B and one TDM808B c) one TDM804B (or TDM854B?) and one TDP808B d) one TDM2403B (half filled TDM2400P) Apart from considerations of cost and PCI slot

Outbound dialing issue with FXO
We are installing a number of systems with 2 TDM04B cards. Have done all the isolation to unique IRQs, etc. All inbound calls seem to work fine. However, outbound calls are hit or miss. Sometimes they work fine and other times we get a "you must first dial a 1 or 0" message back from telco when dialing out standard POTS lines. We are running AAH 1.0 which is Asterisk 1.0.7. Six

Nortel ATA not passing dtmf tones to fxo
I am trying to integrate a Nortel Norstar system with an Asterisk service using a TDM04B card (4 fxo). So far everyting works from Asterisk to Nortel. The problem is when someone dials from the Nortel PBX to the Asterisk server. Asterisk answers the call and provides a dialtone (with DISA) but appartently the DTMF tones are not passed to asterisk and the call cannot proceed. This only

Sangoma A200D analog card with fxo's
FYI... Just installed one of the new Sangoma A200D analog pstn cards with the hardware echo canceller on a trial basis. The card has four fxo interfaces. Excellent audio quality, excellent echo cancelling, and excellent audio levels. The four pstn lines at this location are rather long analog loops that have rather long echo trails. I started with a pair of x100p's a couple of years ago,

PSTN/phone/FXO/FXS cabling issue
I just received a Wildcard TDM400P by FedEx yesterday. I noticed that the FXO/FXS modules use connectors similar to Ethernet. Now, i want to connect the TDM400P to the PSTN connector in the wall, and also to a regular analog phone. Both the PSTN conn and the phone use smaller connectors, typical for analog phones. I searched the "official" docs and the Wiki, there's good

Card loading order...
I am having a problem with a couple servers. They both have a Digium TE110P and a TDM04B card. I have setup the system so the TE110P uses channels 1-31 and the TDM04B 32-35. The problem is that when we reboot the server sometimes the TDM04B is recognized first and the TE110P second so the configuration fails. I do not know why this happens and to solve this I have to do a "service

TDM04B vs Dell revisited
Hi, A week or so ago I wrote about the problems I was having using a Digium TDM04B card in a Dell PowerEdge 750 IU running Fedora Core 1. Digium steadfastly indicates their card won't work in any PowerEdge 650, 700 and 750 series machines "do (sic) to a failure in interrupt handling between the pci bus and the card." My question to the list is: for those of you using a TDM04B

Grandstream ATA 286 tdm400 and Asterisk 1.2-13
Hi people, I would like to read your suggestions as to where the issue might be. ATA286=Grandstream Budgetone ATA 286 in SIP mode. One Lan Port and one FXS port. TDM04B= 4 FXO signal fxls There is a 8FXO-to-SIP unit in this scenario that works perfectly so i will not make mention of it. TDM04B, trunk group
Hi, I am just trying to figure out how to setup a TDM04B card for incoming/outgoing calls. I have 4 lines, which are provided as a rotary trunk group, currently hooked into a Nortel system, which asterisk will replace. I have setup a Dell 1800 (Tower) system with the TDM04B card, which seems to work. The question is how do I set it up that all 4 lines are part of a trunk group, such that

TDM04B
Hi, I recently got a TDM04B and after installing and getting asterisk up and running I connected a handset to one of the ports. Unfortunately I don't get a dial tone when I lift the handset. What could be the cause of this? Could someone point me in the direction of a proper config for a TDM04B? Thanks.

Module wcfxs - is it not part of astlinux?
Hello I am (attempting) to run the astlinux version of Asterisk on a VIA embedded platform. I have a TDM04B and pretty sure zaptel.conf and zapata.conf setup OK. They worked fine with same card in traditional PC anyway. I think need the module wcfxs for a Digium TDM04B card. Is this module not part of astlinux? Do I need to download it? Or is it in opt? I see wctdm - but think that is

New T100P Pri install suggestions?
In the next week or so, we'll be turning up a new T1 Pri from Cox Cable in Omaha using a T100P (installed but not yet configured). While discussing the interface parameters with a very knowledgable Cox engineer, we decided on some of the basics including b8zs, esf, dchan=24, callerid, 5 digits of called number forwarded to *, and switchtype=national (NI2). They indicated their CO switch is a

Convert you FXS port to FXO cheap
If you have an FXS port and would like to attach a PSTN analog line to it this device would do the job by converting the FXS port to FXO. It's a small external device. Works well with VOIP FXS and other FXS interfaces. Interface: 2 RJ11 Jacks (one for the FXS port and one for the PSTN outlet.) Cost: $35.00 with USPS regular mail included. Power: 9 to 20V dc power supply (Not

Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) connectors
Hi, I'm no phone guy but I've been having quite a bit of fun messing with Asterisk. I just unwrapped my new Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) which is the new 4 port FXS PCI card. It has 4 RJ45 connectors and I'd like to hookup 4 regular phones which are RJ11. If I crip RJ45 connectors to the phone cords do I simple use the center two pins (pins 4 and 5)? Thanks, Randy Smith Tiger

New to Asterisk
Hi everyone, I'm completely new to Asterisk and before I buy any card, I would like to ask for some information. 1. We'll be using analog PSTN phone lines. Is there anything that I should ask the telecom company before I buy the card? What I mean is whether the card will be compatible with the line? 2. What about the hardware on the PC? I will be using at least a Pentium 3 with a 600 or
