similar to: Polycom IP600 - Worth the extra $$

Hello, Does anybody have the latest Boot ROMs for the IP500 and IP 600 Polycom phones. I have one of each and can't find the Boot ROM v 3 anywhere to download. I would also love a good sample phone.cfg and sip.cfg files from an Aussie asterisk user to look at. Also the ip500 is having problems trying to load the bootrom 2.6.2 ? Any ideas? Hello, I am just building my first Asterisk server. Looking for a couple of good quality ip phones. I like the Cisco 7960, are they easy to configure to work with Asterisk? Hello, I have configured my polycom ip600 and ip500. The phone works well. But the clock is wrong and flashes the whole time. Drives me nuts! I have set the time offset on the DHCP / boot server. 36000 (I'm in Australia!) It doesn't seem to help... Mike

All, Slightly off topic. Polycom released their SIP software version 1.6.6 for their phones recently. I was under the impression that this release fixed a previous limitation where the phones would only watch 7 buddies, ie send 7 sip subscriptions to Asterisk. I have configured a phone directory to watch 30 or so appearances, and it still seems to only be sending 7 subscriptions to Asterisk.

At the most recent project I completed I have to post a intranet web page with instructions on using the system and phones. Asterisk is 1.07 stable and the phones are Polycom IP300, IP500, and IP600. Has anyone done an Astersik users guide? Something non-technical but covering most of the features an office worker would use. If nothing exists, should we develop this as a documentation project?

Hi all, I've just updated to current CVS, and have 2 polycom IP phones, one is a IP600 and the other is a IP300. The IP600 shows the status of the IP300 and a ZAP line quite nicely, but the IP300 won't show the status of the IP600.... I have had very bad experiences with IAXYs so far.. I have pulled them and will be attempting a refund shortly. Bad audio, overheating and shutting down until allowed to cool, etc. make it unusable in a business environment. Hi all, I dont know why, but if I plug my PC inside the 'PC' slot on my polycom, this is not working. (Polycom IP600 is online on the net.) I'm using normal network cables. (I see jumpers behind the phone... do I need to play arround with that?) Any help would be appreciated. -- Alexandre Leclerc

This Polycom phone seems to be one of the best on the market for sound quality and features. I have seen on the list that some people have gotten the IP 600 to work with Asterisk. Does anyone have the details of how to get this working i.e. XML phone config files, and any thing else I might need to know.
