Transfer differences between BudgeTone101 and Snom190
Hello all,
This email is intended rather informative than questioning. While
developing some script-generated dial plan, we figured out that there
are differences between Snom 190's and BudgeTone 101's relating to
transfers.
It appeared that the 190's will have their own 'Caller ID' set as the
'CALLERID' variable in astersisk when transfering a call, while the

Callerid on PC and more
Guys.
This is a good one... Is anybody doing callerid on the PC? What are you
using besides yac or things like that? And are you using some CRM like
Goldmine with it?
Good huh?

Maniuplate callerID based off of callerID
Hey all!
I'm trying to figure out a way to manipulate a call's caller ID based off of
the caller's caller ID. Basically, I've got a situation where anything that
goes through an Nortel Opt11's IVR comes out with the caller ID 400 (the
Opt11's IVR's ext). When the call goes out the trunk that the call is
destined for, I'd like to grab the 400 caller ID and

callerid not forwarded when transferring call from ISDN line to mobile phone via Asterisk
Hi all,
I've got 4 actors on my stage:
Alice calling from outside
Bob transferring incoming calls to Charlie
Charlie who has a mobile phone
My PBX which is connected to my ISDN line.
I want Charlie to see Alice's Callerid after Bob has transferred the
call as if Charlie is receiving the call from Alice, transparently.
Tried to set the callerid but Charlie sees my telco line number,

CallerID retain on internal transfer
I was just looking through the Wiki for some info on how to retain the
original caller's callerid when make transfers to internal extensions, and I
came across the parameter below:
useincomingcalleridonzaptransfer=yes
There is nothing in the zapata.conf file from vers. 1.2.7 so I am wondering
if this is still a valid parameter. If not, does anyone know how I can do
this?
Thanks,
Joe

SIP CallerID Question
I have several branch offices all running Asterisk PBX's that register
to each other via SIP so that calls can be transferred from office to
office. Everything is working great on the office to office transfers,
but I'd like to somehow make the CallerID more useful. Currently if an
extension at Office1 dials an extension at Office2 the CID on the phone
at Office2 says

CallerID outbound
We're using Asterisk@Home 2.8 (same thing occurs with earlier versions). We
have it set up so that if we don't answer our internal SIP phones it does
"follow me" to our cell phones. When Asterisk forwards the calls to our
cell phones, the Caller ID shows our outbound number, not the caller's
number.
We have 3 queues set up (1,2, and 3) and our extensions (801 and 802) are

Why even have set CallerID option?
Why even have the ability to set callerid name/number if end offices don't
honor it?
For example, I have a SIP UA registered and in the sip.conf I have:
callerid="Mark Mane <2815692712>"
When that phone makes an outbound local call, asterisk will terminate it on
PRI connected to asterisk box to Time Warner.
When the called party looks at their caller id display screen

Exposing Zap Channels on Server A to be Used ByServer B
Robert,
Essentually I want to be able to have Server B dial the extensions
connected to server A as well as route calls to the outbound route on
Server A.
Server B will have little to no knowledge of what is on Server A. I
just want it to dump the calls off.
For some reason I keep thinking this was a PRI type of thing. Like
there was a module that loaded up as a fake PRI that your

asterisk 16.9 function HINT with option n does not return anything
Hello !
Is there something wrong with the function HINT(<extension number>,n) ?
Note the param n - it is supposed to get (as far as I understand the
documentation) CALLERID(name) of the extension (via extension's hint).
Example configuration:
pjsip.conf:
[10]
type=endopoint
.
.
callerid = Test extension <10>
.
.

SIP NAT + m0n0wall 1:1 mapping
I know a SIP client behind a NAT trying to peer with Asterisk behind
another NAT is troublesome. Has anyone had any luck doing this by
interfacing Asterisk to the WAN using 1:1 NAT translation to give it a
public IP while still firewalled?
In my instance I'm using m0n0wall, but this is a hardware-neutral
question.
Thanks.

call forwarding callerID
Hi list,
This is not necessarily an asterisk issue, but a lot of you guys know
way more then me, so I have a question:
someone at my company sets his phone to forward calls to his cellphone,
so someone calls our office, call is forwarded to his cell, and the
callerID that shows up on his cell is of course our office number,
because asterisk originates a new call to his cell and then bridges

Pass CallerID when call forwards to PSTN?
Hi,
Incoming calls to one of my lines are set to ring two internal lines
and simultaneously start ringing my cell phone. Something like this:
exten => s,1,Dial(SIP/2201&SIP/2202&IAX2/my_cell at carrier),90)
The internal lines 2201 and 2202 will both see the callerID for the
incoming call, but my cell phone will show the callerID for asterisk,
not the calling party.

CAPI, transfering thru a 2nd PBX - keep original CallerID
Good day,
I want to have Asterisk as my gateway to the outside world and use
another PBX to connect my existing phones.
How do I specify the dial string to forward the original Caller ID to
over the ISDN to the second PBX?
Right now, my extensions.conf looks like this:
exten => ${OUTSIDEMSN},1,Dial,CAPI/${MSN2NDPBX}:${EXTEN}
How do I transfer the caller Id information initially coming

Incoming SIP line does not display CallerID correctly
Hi all,
I've just setup a sip line with Telasip and when they route the calls to
my asterisk box, they include an extension along with the context that
is defined in sip.conf for that DID.
At first, I couldn't figure why they were getting 404 error from my
asterisk box, but then figured out that they are sending the call to an
extension that matches my number with them, in the

setting callerid not working if no callerid on incoming number
If we get an incoming call I can edit the callerID provided to add the
leading '90' and set the name so that sales calls can be identified
according to the number called.
If however the callerID is unavailable then setting the callerID name or
number fails (it shows as unavailable on the phone).
This is the call log from such an incoming call without callerID.

Teliax: where's the space in CALLERID(num) from?
I'm having trouble setting callerid with teliax. I use a simple dial-out
subroutine to set the callerid depending on the calling extension, and
then dial out. Teliax is saying they're not seeing any callerid info.
