tripwire
Tripwire is probably one of must-have utilities for many system
administrators. However, it is missing from almost all recent Red
Hattish distributions. IMO, probably due to the fact that source
compiles only on i386, and needs patches to compile almost every time
new major version of gcc is released. However, in absence of good
replacement, this is all we have. (IMO, other tools such as AIDE

Shrinking a ext3 filesystem ?
I installed CentOS on my home-server with 2 IDE 160GB MAXTOR HDD /
RAID-1, LVM and ext3 partitions. Previous OS on this machine was FC2.
I often "play" with LVM and, sometimes, have to extand or reduce some
volumes size. I was surprised to see that resize2fs isn''t included
anymore !
The replacing tool is ext2online but this one seems to only be able to
grow a filesystem (not

centos-announce list?
Any chance we can set up a low-volume "centos-announce" list so that we
all don't have to read all of these non-Centos-specific E-mail threads
about people figuring out how to admin a Linux box when all we need to
know is when major releases/milestones/news items are available?

Gnome CD/DVD Burner?
Hi all,
Wondering if this might be a good item for either CentOSPlus or even
Extras repository.
I've been looking for a decent CD/DVD burner for Gnome.... at present
I load up k3b (KDE app) and thus much of the KDE environment).
Someone pointed me to GraveMan (http://www.nongnu.org/graveman/ )
which looks very good. All reports is that it's lean, mean and quite
stable.
Anyone else

1.0.beta5 released
Just two changes:
- Beta4's SSL proxying rewrite worked worse than I thought.
Reverted it back to original code.
- Filesystem quota plugin now looks up the mount path correctly.

1.0.beta7
Sorry, the authentication problem still wasn't actually fixed in beta6.
Now, this time I tested every possible authentication case that it
really works.
I'll soon create a CVS branch which is going to stabilize into the 1.0
release. I won't add new features there so it shouldn't really get
broken anymore, at least because of new features..

1.0.beta6 released
Fixes, mostly:
* The login and master usernames were reversed when using
master_user_separator (now the order is UW-IMAP compatible).
* Killing dovecot master process now kills all IMAP and POP3
processes also.
+ -a parameter to dovecot prints now all settings that Dovecot uses.
-n prints all settings that are different from defaults.
+ Added pop3_lock_session setting
+ %M modifier
